I must admit that I look flipping awesome, and I feel like a bad ass ninja.I’ve got two swords strapped to my back, a wide belt full of daggers, a couple guns, and several more daggers in random places on my body. Plus a few throwing stars tucked into any place available.I quickly spray myself with the scent erasing spray and put up my veil. I now have blonde hair, am wearing basic jeans and a t shirt, and I’m a dude. Satisfied I turn to let the guys okay it.“That’s freaky. You could for real pass as a guy,” Duke says.“So, do I pass inspection?” I verify.“Yeah, you do,” Cade assures me.I turn to Colton and look him directly in. the eye. “Are you sure you want to come? Your dad is probably going to lose his life today. Is that something you can handle? If not then I completely understand. I don’t think I could handle that.”He thinks on it for a minute, and then nods his head. “Yeah I want to go. It’ll be hard losing my dad, but in all honesty he probably deserves to die. He’s do
I woke up and found myself in Andy’s room at the royal castle, yet again. I swear I have had more cases of deja vu in the past couple months than I have in my entire life. My stab wound is a bit sore, but it’s mainly just my body in general. It’s stiff and tender.I look down and realize that Andy must have changed me into my pajamas. Speaking of Andy, I’m about to whoop his ass!All my wounds are long forgotten, as I march straight down the stairs into the kitchen. I’m vaguely aware of the fact that my parents, brother, Geo, Zen, Nash, Sam, Colton, and Andy’s family plus Travis are sitting at the table watching me.Andy is leaning against the counter smiling at me.“Hey babe, are you feeling alright?” He asks concerned.I completely blow his question off and walk until I’m standing right I’m front of him. I give my best death glare trying to intimidate him, and from the way he gulps I know it’s working. He clears his throat, “Uhm, what’s wrong? Why do you look like you’re about to pun
Once I was dressed in my sleeveless little black dress we made our way to the club.Shots were passed around and everybody drank to a job well done. Most of the Fae came out, and the expressions on every ones face were hilarious. Mouths dropped to the floor, eyes about popped out of their sockets, and I’m fairly sure I saw several strings of drool hanging out.Grimacing, I made my way to the dance floor. Moving my body with the beat I danced the night away. When I finally reached my dancing limit, I started wondering where Andy was. I had several guys try to dance with me, and normally he would have beaten them to death by now.I let the bond guide me to him and found him in a very, shall we say, compromising position. Some barely dressed blonde was grinding against him as if she was the stripper and he was her pole. The only reason I wasn’t furious with him is because not only could I feel his discomfort and annoyance, but I could see it.I was trying not to laugh because he was pres
The next few days went by agonizingly slow.I was depressed about the fact that Colton was betraying me, but I wasn’t showing it to anybody. Andy had noticed a difference in me, but I had managed to block my emotions out so he couldn’t get a good read. I knew that I should be telling them about Colton, but I couldn’t help but hold a little hope that I was wrong.Little did I know that had I told somebody a life wouldn’t have been lost.Colton kept up his act and was still pretending to be my bestie. I had yet to call him out on it, but I planned to tonight. I had no idea how to even approach the subject, but I knew that it had to be done. I couldn’t go around living with and being friends with a liar. After a lot of thought I had decided that I would confront him after dinner when it was just family. I wasn’t dumb enough to do it alone. I know that I’m powerful, but he had to be just as powerful. He was leading the vampires and had planned out this whole elaborate scheme; obviously he
DUKE POVWe were all sitting there having dinner as normal, but you could tell something was up with Lily. She had been distant from everybody and putting on a front for the whole day now and nobody could figure out why. We had freed the Fae, so you’d think she’d be happy. I was brought out of my musings when my mate, May, put her hand on my thigh. What’s wrong honey? she asked me through our mate link.Nothing really. Just trying to figure what’s going on with Lily, I respond.I sensed a trickle of jealousy run through our bond, and I’m quick to squash that. She is only a friend. I see her more as one of the guys than anything. The jealously instantly fades away.I’m sorry. I don’t mean to insinuate anything. I just know that you’ve been spending a lot of time with her, and . . . Well I was just being stupid. Forgive me? she asks using the pout I can never resist. There’s nothing to forgive. I smile at her, then tune back into the conversation.Hearing what was coming out of Colton’s
When I walked into the Unseelie court I was pleasantly surprised. I was fully expecting to see a dark gloomy place that was in-caged with sharp ice. Yet when I took my first step on their territory I found it to be a lively atmosphere and welcoming. I also didn't expect to walk into a party, but that's exactly what happened. The moment I walked into their Palace the party began with cheers and shouts of welcoming. It was rather shocking to see just how elegant they made every thing. Any thing and every thing was made out of ice. The buildings themselves were made and shaped from ice. Even the chandelier was made out of several long ice cycles. The floor itself was ice, but it was sanded and buffed to the point that it was no longer slippery. I felt like I was walking on water, frozen of course, but water none the less. If it wasn't made out of ice, then it was some how incorporated into it. For example, the massive dining room table. It was made from wood, but had elegant spirals of i
ANDY’S POVI watched her leave.I watched my mate walk away from me.I watched as her face dropped with disappointment.I desperately wanted to go with her or force her to stay with me, but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. I saw her devastated face as she cast one last longing glance at the house. I’m fairly sure she saw me standing there, watching her, but she didn’t acknowledge me.As time progressed I was falling deeper and deeper into despair. It seemed I was the only one that put any blame on Lily. Not even May was angry with her. Sam and Nash are hardly speaking to me. They were disappointed in my actions. They considered Lily a sister, and were so mad at the things I said to her that they both refused to so much as look at me for weeks.I was hardly eating and barely left my room. I was officially the next king, so I had to attend the classes for that. I also had training, and that was where I let out my pent up rage. Hardly anyone would willingly spar with me. I may have
LILY POVAfter a minute or so I felt myself materialize and gain mass once again. That has got to be the weirdest thing to ever happen to me. I actually had to pat myself down to make sure I was all there. Taking a relieved breath in, I surveyed my surroundings. I could feel my face scrunching in confusion. It appears that I’m at the school? Why on earth . . . ?My question was answered when a throat clearing brought me swirling around. Standing there in front of me was Andy.He was rubbing the back of his neck looking extremely guilty. He stood there drinking me in for several minutes before I broke the silence.“What am I doing here? And how did I get here?” I demand.“Well you see . . .” Andy trails off, clearly at a loss for words.“Oh for red skittles everywhere, spit it out!” I scream.“What’s with you and red skittles?” Nash asked with a grin.“Umm, they’re delicious! What kind of dumb question was that?” I grin at him.One day in class I had brought a bag of skittles and was p
