Chapter 20

LILY'S POV

I can sense his presence in my room and not in a good sense either. He’s mad. Actually, mad would probably be a major understatement. I'd venture to say he was irate and possibly on the edge of shifting. Because of that I’m trying my hardest to make it seem as if I’m still sleeping.

“I know you’re awake. I could hear your heartbeat quicken, so you may as well get up and explain,” he says with a sigh.

I gulp and spring off the bed. “Bathroom!”

I sprint for the door and throw it open. I can hear Andy curse behind me and jump up to give chase. He almost caught me when I had to stop and open the door, but I’m just too quick for him.

I’m running down the hallway laughing manically. Everybody is looking at me like I’m crazy, but I don’t let it phase me.

“Lily! You better stop! When I catch you, you better be prepared for the spanking of a life time.” He threatens while running after me.

“Is that supposed to scare me? You’ll never catch me!” I yell back, laughing.

I hear him growl
