Willow

“Will, it is so good to see you alive.” Harlow beams at me as Zane guides me to a chair.

“Uh huh.” I mutter, still playing the questions over in my head.

“When Dad told me that you, your mum and your brother tried to stay and that he didn’t let you. I was furious. If I had been there….”

“It wouldn’t have made a difference.” Zane tells him, “Not if your father was involved in this shit.”

Harlow frowns. “Maybe I would have found out a long time ago that he was involved.”

“And what would you have done?” Zane asks. “Would you have killed him? Would you have revealed his secrets to his pack? Please, enlighten me.”

“You don’t know everything about me, Zane.”

Zane doesn’t respond and Harlow turns his attention back to me. “Do you still draw?”

“Yes.”

Harlow leans down by the desk and picks up a box, “I brought you these. I have always remembered how these were your favourites.”

“You didn’t have to do that….” I peer in the box to find more of the same brand of pencils that Zane had alre
