Chapter 15

Trinity's POV

Antoine didn't come back last night. I locked the door as he told me to.

But part of me hoped that he would come back. Although I knew it was unlikely to happen, I still waited on the couch so that I could open the door as soon as possible.

When I woke up the next morning on the couch, I tried to find a trace showing if Antoine had come back. But obviously, he didn't.

I didn't know what he did and where he slept last night.

But he had said that he didn't want me to interfere in his business. That was the deal we both agreed on.

I sighed and shook my head lightly, trying to drive him out of my head.

The scene last night kept reemerging in my head. It was so unreal, like a dream.

But the bandage on my finger and the pain reminded me that it was real.

I headed to the bathroom to wash up, changed my clothes, and ate breakfast.

Then, I turned on my laptop to continue to look for a job.

There were other design companies. I believed I could find a job somewhere else.
