...

Even if it's in a sea of blood,

I will find you still.

..

"Mate"

She found her mate.

Aria was speechless. Mate. She tasted the word in her mouth again. It sounded foreign. She didn't believe in mates. In fact she didn't believe in the moon goddess. She felt that all the unnecessary attention werewolves focus on mates is completely unnecessary.

She never thought she would find her mate again. At least not in this life.

Werewolves come of age at the age of fifteen for boys and sixteen for girls. It is the age when a werewolf can shift for the first time. The age they become completely one with their wolf. And if the child is extremely slow, then eighteen is the latest. If after eighteen, and a werewolf still isn't able to shift, then it is considered that they had been rejected by their wolf. Most werewolves who encounter such situations are never able to shift in their life. They are slow and usually have a defect. They either become deaf, blind or even paralyzed.

And Aria is exactly that type of late shifter. After turning eighteen and still not being able to communicate with her wolf nor shift. Her parents had lost all hope in her but by some stroke of luck, after her parents death when she was nineteen, Aria shifted for the first time. She didn't know whether her wolf had pitied her or it had simply just decided to ignore her all this while, anyway she managed to escape the fate of never being one with her wolf, but unfortunately her parents were no longer alive to see her finally fulfilling their lifelong dream. But she still didn't escape the fate of having a defect. Her defect is she would never be able to have any feelings in her life. Her heart sea was frozen. And she was unable to understand anything that had to do with emotion from then on. Her heart became frozen in time, unable to be moved.

After the coming of age of a werewolf, a werewolf finds their mate. And just like shifting, a werewolf that is not able to find their mate after eighteen will never be able to find them again. For this reason, Mates are particularly rare, but what is even rarer are True Mates.

Irrespective of age, time and place, True Mates can recognize each other. They are not limited by age but out of a thousand wolves, only a pair will be True Mates.

True Mates are originally bonded together by the moon goddess. They share a fate linked together through lifetimes. And mates are born through True Mates. The purer the bloodline, the higher the possibility of being a true mate. But True Mates haven't appeared for centuries.

It's no wonder that after passing the age of eighteen and not completely integrating with her wolf, finding a mate is the last thing Aria expected.

Defects like Aria's aren't uncommon in the werewolf world. But there is only one way to melt a frozen heart, that is finding your mate or True Mate. They are the only ones that can unfreeze a heart that has been frozen as a result of late shifting or not shifting at all.

But Aria felt that maybe the moon goddess isn't as indifferent as she had thought. She not only finally helped her connect with her wolf, she also gave her a True Mate.

But at the end of the day. Aria didn't appreciate it. She would rather remain like this, unfeeling, emotionless, rather than be forcefully bonded with a stranger and develop feelings that had been integrated into her soul. She felt like feelings like that weren't real. It is too absurd. You have obviously never met before but the next second, you're falling head over heels for each other. To her, those are nothing but false feelings. An illusion. A force out of their reach.

So in the next second, her heart regained its calmness and her face returned expressionless. But she had been distracted after all.

Boar actually took the opportunity when she was distracted and shot directly at her heart. By sharp instinct, she dodged aside. But there was no way she was faster than a bullet in her human form. The bullet only narrowly missed her heart but she was still shot and several shots shot at her in the next moment. Although she evaded, she still got shot three more times. And when she thought she was really going to die, suddenly, a shadow appeared in front of her blocking her sight and her wolf started clamoring again. She didn't even know how he did it, she was too dizzy to see what he was doing but by the time she regained a bit of consciousness, they were already far away from all the shooting and fighting. There were at least a hundred of them there and she was the mastermind who started the whole thing. It was impossible for those guys to let her go, especially Boar, so exactly how did he do it?

"Can you endure just a little longer? It will be fine soon." she finally heard his voice. The last thing she thought before closing her eyes was,

'Unexpectedly, he has such a nice voice. It would be nice if I could hear it for the rest of my life. It's a pity I'm dying too soon."

It seemed that she wasn't even aware of her own thoughts in her daze and it is believed that one's subconscious thoughts are one's real thoughts.

...Here you are,To fit in the missing puzzle,I've been missing all along....In a beautiful and dimly lit room, a man stood straight with his back to the light. The dim light provided by a table lamp carelessly placed on the bedside table cast a strange and distorted shadow of him on the floor. The assistant behind him squinted at the shadow, tracing it all the way to the man's shoes before looking up. Because of how dark the room was, she couldn't see his face clearly. But she could clearly see his face outline. It was sharp, straight and cold. Perhaps the dim lighting further enhanced her imagination, but she suddenly felt cold all over. The weather was warm these days and the A.C. is clearly not on but the temperature in the room continued to drop several degrees with each passing minute until the frequency of the silence was disturbed by a deep, distant voice. "Anything new?" The voice was deep, yet light. It sounded like he

Personally, as a werewolf, Aria didn't like fighting with guns; she would have preferred to use her jaws and claws, but living in the human territory has its own disadvantage for werewolves; they didn't dare to shift. So, as a replacement, Aria would rather fight with her fists, although it was very dangerous in a place where bullets were flying all around like flies. But even as a werewolf with superhuman speed and strength, after fighting repeatedly for more than two hours, she was extremely tired. One of her shortcomings is her super hearing. Her hearing is very sharp, so the sound of the gunshots always gives her a headache, distracting her and making her reveal flaws. After fighting repeatedly for three hours, Aria was covered in wounds and most of her men were in the same condition. "Chief, how about we retreat? We can always come bac
