Chapter Four

...

Unconsciously, even in a sea of voices,

I would still wish to listen to only yours.

...

Aria suddenly opened her eyes. This smell, this ceiling, this is definitely not the pack house. Instantly, she sprang up from the unfamiliar bed, but she regretted it the next minute. There was intense pain all over her body. She felt like she had been dragged out from under a train and brought back to life. Her whole body was hurting terribly.

"Damn it! What the hell is going on?"

"You're up"

Her characteristics as a wolf who lived half of her life watching out and being alert mean she is always on guard for every new scent, voice, and person in general.

But for the first time, the first thing she felt after hearing a completely new voice wasn't to be on guard; in fact, she felt the voice was quite nice. And then she was like,

'Aria, What the fuck?'

"How do you feel now?" The voice interrupted her inner turmoil.

"I feel like I just got dragged out from hell and brought back to life. And who are you by the way? Where am I? What happened?"

"Alright. It seems like you're still in pain. The side effects of the drug I gave you might make you irritable. And as for your questions, this is my house; I'm a stranger, and you got shot. Does that answer your questions?"

Aria's brain turned, and she suddenly remembered what had happened before she passed out.

"You, you are my mate?"

"What can I say? After planning to spend the rest of my life as a monk, suddenly a True Mate came along. Can I not be surprised?"

Aria suddenly felt like grabbing him and beating him up. It seemed that the drug did induce her violent tendencies. So in order not to do something extremely illegal, she kept quiet and ignored him.

"Hey, is that all the questions you have? You didn't even ask me how we left there? Don't worry, even if you don't ask, I will tell you. You see, my friends call me nimble. That's because I'm very fast at escaping. It's a pity I was the one who asked them to start calling me that so they haven't even gotten to see my skills before. Yesterday, I was so awesome. I had decided to go on a stroll and enjoy the gift of nature a little, but who knew I was so unlucky I had actually run into a gang fight. It was terrible. And while I was still cursing my luck and trying to run for my life, I suddenly sensed you. I mean, I saw my mate, mate. At twenty-four, it was unbelievable. Can you believe it?"

"No. Because I didn't just meet mine at twenty-six. And can you please shut up? What the hell!"

"Sorry, I really can't shut up. I was born like this. As I was saying, and as I was thinking about how I will go back home and show those two lovey-dovey mates that are always oppressing me in the pack, that see, I didn't even find a mate, I found a True Mate, you suddenly got shot."

"Shut up. You're giving me a headache"

"My head buzzed instantly. Wasn't I just planning on how to use you to oppress my enemies? And then you were planning to die the moment I met you? I swear, my body reacted before my brain even reacted. I won't lie to you; it wasn't even until I got to your front, dodged those bullets, and brought you away under the nose of those hundred people that I realized I had such amazing skills. I have never displayed such explosive strength before. And if I didn't have to get you treated, I would have gone back there to test my powers again. It turns out I now have two things to boast to my friends. I have a True Mate and I really am nimble." He suddenly burst into laughter like he was really imagining in his head how his friends would react after finding out the truth.

Aria felt like she was suddenly stupid. Don't tell me the so-called True Mate the goddess found for her is not only so talkative and stupid, he is even very childish. So, at the end of the day, Does the moon goddess have a feud with her?

"Alright, I'm leaving. Thanks for your hospitality. This is your house, right? Don't worry, I will send someone to deliver all the money you spent on me back to you." She finally decided as she tried sitting up. Even sitting up was extremely painful. "Didn't you say you gave me painkillers, by the way? I'm already suffering from the side effects, why can't I see its real effect"

"It has been worn out. And you can't ask for another dose. Werewolves are specially built. You know that yourself. Most painkillers and anesthesias don't work on us. Besides, what do you take me for? A beggar? I helped my mate in recovering and you're planning to pay me back? Are you looking down on me or what?"

"What kind of- Fine, I can't win against you. I accept. Can you leave the way now, I have to go."

"If you were a human, it would take months for you to heal, but as a werewolf, especially ones like you who have such high agility, it will take at most two weeks for you to completely recover. So, for those two weeks, I won't let you leave my sight, you're staying right here."

"And do I have to listen to you? Ridiculous!"

"Oh, dear, you have to. And if you don't, I will simply look for a handcuff and tie you down here."

"You dare?"

"Oh yes, I dare." As he was speaking, he brought out a handcuff from a drawer by the bedside and tackled Aria.

"You, you, let me go! What are you doing? If you-" Before she could finish her words, he had already finished handcuffing her hands to the bed. Aria became speechless and then she burst out in anger.

"Bastard! You-"

"Relaz. It's Relaz. My name, dear mate, is Relaz Boswell, Alpha of Found pack, not 'bastard'.”
