Chapter One

PROLOGUE

The sound of gunshots was deafening. Blood flowed, people wailed, and those who wanted to keep fighting kept fighting.

Personally, as a werewolf, Aria didn't like fighting with guns; she would have preferred to use her jaws and claws, but living in the human territory has its disadvantages for werewolves; they didn't dare to shift. So, as a replacement, Aria would rather fight with her fists, although it was very dangerous in a place where bullets were flying all around like flies.

But even as a werewolf with superhuman speed and strength, after fighting repeatedly for more than two hours, she was extremely tired.

One of her shortcomings is her super hearing. Her hearing is very sharp, so the sound of the gunshots always gives her a headache, distracting her and making her reveal flaws. After fighting repeatedly for three hours, Aria was covered in wounds and most of her men were in the same condition.

"Chief, how about we retreat? We can always come back and fight them later after we've recovered. We're werewolves and will recover faster than them. Since both sides suffered heavy casualties this time, It will take a longer time for them to recover, and we will take that opportunity to attack these sneaky humans. What do you think?"

"It's not impossible"

"Good. Then I will-"

"But I don't like procrastinating."

Immediately, Aria took a gun from one of the corpses lying around and started shooting. She felt like she couldn't drag this fight on any longer, or all the sacrifices her wolves had made would be in vain.

But suddenly, her wolf, which has always been quiet and hadn't moved for years, moved; it suddenly grew restless, and a bad premonition grew in her heart. Something snapped in her heart. And the still, frozen lake was disturbed. A crack appeared and something seemed to be calling out to her. In the field of countless people, corpses, guns, fights, and blood, someone stood out, and the moment she locked her eyes on him, he looked back at her.

His eyes seemed to penetrate her, demolish all her walls, and enter her heart directly. The frozen lake was disturbed and it began to ripple. Her wolf couldn't calm down and she couldn't describe where this emotion came from, but she clearly knew one thing,

"Mate" Her wolf whispered.

She found her mate.

END OF PROLOGUE...

...

Amid chaos all around me,

You are my only salvation.

...

The blood fight all started an hour ago,

"We can't keep accommodating you guys here, I think it's time for you to retreat." a bald man with an extremely arrogant face said, or more like he spat out the words, considering the way his largely scarred face was twisted when he said those words. He looked down condescendingly at the people opposite him with a look of complete victory as he could already picture the image in his head, the image of them running away from Westrock with their tails between their legs. The image even made him laugh out loud but his laughter stopped abruptly when he heard a very cold sentence.

"Retreat? In this town, whoever dares to make me leave, hasn't been born. And if you've decided to be born ahead of schedule, I wouldn't mind using your blood as a fertilizer for my plants."

The whole hall went silent in an instant. And the bald man, Boar, who had been running his mouth all along broke into a cold sweat.

In the eerily silent hall, the cold sentence echoed loudly in the ears of those who were present.

The crowd parted, and the owner of the voice came into view. She stared down at the bald man, and without a change in her expression, she asked,

“Baldie, You were saying something?"

To be honest, the first thought that came to Boar's mind was, if you put away the very cold-blooded behavior and ice-cold face of this person, she really is a very beautiful lady. One whom men would do anything to obtain. She is capable of making thousands of men go on their knees with her looks alone. It is a pity that this person, who is supposed to be a queen seductress with her looks alone, is actually one who would make men go on their knees with her fist. Throughout the five years Boar had met this person, her expression had never changed before. He felt that if a stone managed to get some God-sent opportunity and turn into a human, it probably still wouldn't be as cold as she was.

She had the temperament of a frozen lake, and even her voice was freezingly cold. No matter how warm her words were, coupled with a very expressionless face and cold voice, she had managed to make many children run away from her in fright, and some had even directly broken down crying.

Now imagine, if such a person now said such a cold sentence, it is actually a miracle that Boar, a gangster, didn't even pee directly on himself.

The moment he looked up at her, the wide scar that ran along his face started to itch and he unconsciously took his hand up and touched the scar. The perpetrator was in front of him, looking down at him without a change in her expression as always.

He recalled that five years ago, when she made this scar, she had the same expressionless face, and it was that same time frame she had gained her code name, Blood.

It seems that anytime this person is around, it is impossible for blood not to flow.

FLASHBACK....

Five years ago...

Boar and his cronies had been leading in the underground business of Westrock for more than ten years. But lately, he seemed to hear the mention of a Wolf's Jaw everywhere he went. It was an organization that had just appeared. And at first, he didn't take such new rookies to heart at all. It wasn't until he started losing customers and making losses that he realized that this small gang he hadn't even put to his eyes had started to overtake him within the space of three months.

He was furious. So he took a lot of his men and went to one of the bars the new organization just opened to destroy it and, by the way, show them who the boss was. But what he didn't expect is that he was the one who ran away with his tail between his legs at the end.

He had arrogantly walked into the bar, found a stool, sat down, and ordered his men to destroy the place. Within ten minutes, all the customers had been chased away, and there was debris, broken bottles, spilled drinks, and all kinds of things on the floor.

"What? You seem scared? Okay, if you come here and clean my shoes with your hair, I will consider treating you well tonight." As he was talking he looked at the waitress he had managed to get his hands on in a very obscene manner while trailing his hands down her chest.

"Let me go! You wretched man, take your hands off me!" The woman fought desperately, but he had her caged firmly in his hands.

"You heard her, let her go." The voice was cold, even, and straightforward, without any ripples, not even anger. It belonged to a woman, she was dressed in a plain waitress outfit and remained expressionless like the world could plunge into chaos, and she still wouldn't care, and her expression still wouldn't change.

Although cold, she was breathtakingly beautiful. She had a pair of round, sharp, and light blue eyes. It was impossible not to fall into her eyes if you looked at her for too long. The blue was so light that in the dim lighting of the bar, all he saw was a frozen lake in her eyes, a lake that could swallow you whole if you looked for too long. Her lips were thin and straight with a very light red color. Her hair was fiery golden, and it curled all the way to her waist. Her skin was the brightest and most beautiful white he had ever seen. With such a seductive body, she wore a very expressionless face that it made one's heart ache for her. Even if she didn't want to stand out in a crowd, her extremely attractive hair colour and completely dead-like expression is a dead giveaway.

Boar hadn't seen such beauty in his life, so he licked his lips, let the waitress go, and moved closer to her.

"You don't need to be jealous, alright? See, I've let her go. I will attend to only you tonight. Happy?" Boar was doomed to be disappointed that night. Even after teasing her, she just looked on with that dead, expressionless face, not saying anything as if he was just an ant she looked down on.

"Alright, then I would get to business. Bring your boss here for me. Let me see the person who dares to steal my business." he suddenly said irritably, losing all his patience.

"I dare. Is there a problem with that?"

"What?"

"I said I dare. Aren't I the one you're looking for?" Still that waveless and emotionless voice.

"Wait what?" Boar was taken aback. "You're the leader of Wolf's Jaw?"

"That's right," she said, as she leisurely strolled and picked up a wine bottle that was fortunate enough to still remain intact after all the destroying his men did

"Oh, so you're that bastard. How dare you try to come here and pretend you know the way? I've been here way before you and you have to bow to me as the leader. As for my business you spoiled, because of your beautiful face, I won't take action on it. As long as you close down all your bars, go on your knees, and pledge yourself to me, I will even let all your people go. How about that? Aren't I generous"

"The boss is so good. If I were the one, I wouldn't even let this bitch go"

"What do you know? Our boss is so farsighted. Why should he stain his hands with matters that have to do with such whores?"

"That's right. Our boss is the wisest." Boar kept basking in the praise of his subordinates. He even thought that if this woman knew what was good for her and behaved sensibly, he wouldn't mind making her his mistress.

"Are you guys done?"

"What?"

She brought out a handkerchief from nowhere and started wiping the bottle she had picked up. From beginning to end, she didn't even raise her head. "I was asking if you guys were done talking"

"Y-you! How-"

"Alright, even if you aren't done, your time is up. Were you guys the one who destroyed my bar to this extent?" She talked slowly without any waves like what she was just discussing was whether the rain had fallen that day"

"You think you're eloquent? All right, I'll humor you, for the sake of your beauty. Yes, I destroyed your bar. So what? Do I not dare?"

"You dare."

"Huh?"

"I said you dare." Then suddenly, she hit the bottle she had been meticulously wiping on the edge of a barstool, the bottle instantly shattered, leaving a broken shard in her hand, and immediately, before anyone could react, she had already embedded the broken bottle about seven centimeters into his face, drawing an arc along his left cheek to his right eyebrow, narrowly missing his eye. "As long as you can bear the consequence." she finished and looked him dead in the eye. But the worst thing is that, throughout the process, there wasn't even a ripple in the lake called her face like what she held was a pencil, not a weapon that could disfigure his face, and his face was just a paper, one she could mindlessly dribble on.
