CHAPTER 28

I saw Martha coming towards me and I swiftly changed my direction, entering into the dining hall.

“Over here” I saw Amaris wave her hands and I quickly walked towards her, taking the vacant seat.

“Morning” I smiled at Amaris and Juanita.

“Morning. Where did you go this morning? I looked everywhere for you”

“I went to get the clothes from the laundry”

“Couldn’t you have gotten it later?” Juanita asked before stuffing her face with bread.

“I didn’t want to go down there after breakfast”

“This is for you” Amaris pushed over a tray and I got started on my breakfast.

“I don’t know if it’s just me, but Martha keeps staring here. Like she wants to come over and join us” Juanita commented.

Of course, I could feel her piercing gaze on my back but I pretended not to. Doing that will only give her room to approach me and I didn’t want that. The incident of that day had been swept under the rug but I’d learnt something. And I may not have a strong hatred for Martha like Amaris did but I had mad

There she goes lies agin does she even know how to tell the truth. Why would she expect anyone to be honest with her. As for Aramis I feel like she was behind this .
