The Mating Ceremony

Diane's POV

As we rode back to the castle, everything just happened in a blur. Sophie insisted to come with us and at least witness the ceremony before she would leave to return to her work —and also find a better way to get us out of me from the other side. But of course, Lucius and his men didn't have to know that little detail.

As we got to the castle, Lucius led me to his chambers where the unhappy stylists started brushing through my hair while another used a wet cloth to take out the sweat and stains I got from the Forest. There was no time for me to get a bath because according to the guards that had ushered us in, the ceremony was about to start.

He and his team worked as fast as robots, when they finished, I was in a white dress that left nothing to the imagination.
