Lucius's POV

After Lucas left, I kept thinking about what he had said until I gave up. I couldn't come to the bottom of that except I delved into it and as it stood, I already had too many pits to fill.

To have a peaceful reign, I knew I had to solve all the problems and puzzles around me. To do this, I would have to take them one at a time and the first on my list was Diane.

I needed to finally explain to her what was at stake and why I did what I had to do to keep her.

I packed up the rest of the files and returned them to the drawers, taking only a few documents that I would need to review later in the day with me to my room.

All important documents were always left in the office, I only took a few with me to my chambers to review and once I was done, I returned them to the office.
