The Aftermath

Diane's POV

My body had to be the most disgusting in the entire world. It refused to listen to me.

I felt so ashamed of myself.

When I was heading to the ceremony, I had made up my mind to be strong and not fall for his tricks but the moment Lucius had kissed me, all my resolve melted away and I found my body yearning for his touch.

The rational part of my brain was imprisoned away in some part of my mind and the naughty side of me came to play.

Even as the ceremony came to an end and Lucius informed me that we had to spend the night in the cold hall. I tried to stay strong. I tried to ignore the alluring warmth coming from his body but I failed.

—well, I didn't fail. It was for survival.

I pushed my body against his and squeezed my eyes close, hoping to get some sleep but the gush of cold wind coming from the opening at the far end of the hall didn't help matters at all. If anything, it only made it worse.
