Chapter 69

ROSELLA’S POV

As Sage and I sat at the long dining table in the palace, I couldn't help but feel a sense of dread wash over me. This was it, the last supper we were going to have together before Sage sets off on a dangerous mission to find her daughter. I didn't want to let her go, but I knew I couldn't stop her.

Sage looked at me with a stern expression, "Rosella, you need to have faith in yourself. You have grown so much in such a short amount of time. You are stronger than you think."

"But what if something happens to you?" I asked, my voice quivering with fear. I couldn’t afford to lose Sage, especially not after how much we’ve bonded over the weeks of her being my trainer. She is the most patient teacher I’ve ever met and no wonder my mother asked me to find her.
