Chapter 70

Sage sat quietly in the corner of her small, cramped room in the basement of the abandoned warehouse, waiting for the inevitable. The Witchsbane was slowly killing her, and she had been feeling weaker with each passing day. She had tried to send a signal to Rosella to warn her of the imminent danger, but her powers were too weak, and she was scared she wouldn't be able to save the rest of the pack.

She closed her eyes and tried to focus on her powers, trying to will them to come to life again. But the Witchsbane was working hard to weaken her, and it seemed like her powers had completely abandoned her. Sage knew she had to keep trying, though. She couldn't just sit there and wait for the end to come.

Sage took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She focused all of her energy on trying to send a signal to Rosella to warn her of the danger. She could feel her powers slowly beginning to stir within her, and she knew she had to act fast.

Finally, she was able to send some signals to Rosell

I can’t even feel sorry for her. She never gave her mother a chance to explain what really happened. She knew the revolutionary were only about themselves and would lie to get her to do what they wanted.
