Chapter 75

Maisey watched as Susu walked away from the cavern. His mind was racing and his thoughts were very much disoriented. He knew that she had a plan, an evil one, but there was no way he was getting it out of her. She was just too smart for him.

He ran his fingers through his hair as he pondered upon his next line of action. If Susu actually double crossed him in the palace, there was no way he was going to come out alive. Julian's wolves would surely overpower him and tear him to pieces. He had to think of a backup plan. Especially since everything that was happening in that damned palace were kept vague to the rest of them by Susu.

As his thoughts ran wild, he heard the sound of footsteps stealthily approaching and he stopped to listen. He knew who it was -Maika. She had a knack for good deeds and as much as Maisey had tried to incorporate her into the revolution, he knew she still had a good heart. He was going to give her time to adjust, then make a decision between killing her off o
