Chapter five

I’m finally done with my task and the hell time flies so fast. I think it’s about time I call it a day but Daniel still looks so engrossed in the work and my boss hasn’t stepped out since I last saw him. I’m sure they both have no love life, they look so serious with their works, I scoffed and stood up to go see my latest project

I’m not sure there’s going to be any evening outing, everyone seems so busy, I muttered with an air of disappointment. Well I better go submit this documents so I can take a quick look at my project , I chuckled lightly but was honestly a little bit excited to see him

Damon is quite attractive, I’ve not gotten every detail of his face but he’s very cute and those ivy blue eyes ,I swear I could get lost in them if I stared at them for too long.

“Good day sir , I’m here to submit the documents, I’m done with them” , I spoke out trying to get a glimpse of his face and he was definitely acting like I wasn’t here. I’m so sure with this look on his face there might be no outing, he’s so engrossed in his work but he honestly looks a little bit cute being so serious and not spitting out any annoying words at the moment

“Ok. You can drop them over there”, he replied pointing to the table stacked with documents just opposite his own table.

“I thought it will take you up to three days to attempt your first task but you proved me otherwise” , he said to me with no expressions on his face,like he expected me to flop.

“It wasn’t so hard to do sir and I put in my best effort”, I replied back to him with a straight face getting really pissed off at his very low thoughts of my efficiency in working with him.

I felt like screaming out ‘I went to a business school and I was one of the best graduating student for heaven’s sake!’ but as usual I had to keep quiet for now and wait for him to fall prey to me

“I’ll go through them later. I just hope Daniel wasn’t the one that did this for you?” he asked looking more suspicious than angry about what he said.

“No sir. I did it on my own. Can I take my leave now? I think it’s time to go home”, I asked getting really tired, sad and angry like why the hell does he think so little of me. He still doesn’t look me in the eyes.

“Yes you can take you leave Mrs Steve but there’s going to be an evening outing after working hours. It’s our company’s ritual to do this after a new intake has completed their first task. So you can go and prepare, and you can ask Daniel for the remaining details about it”, He quickly added and went back to his work without looking me in the face again.

I sincerely do not want to attend this outing with all those clingy ladies and their eyes poking me all evening, damon lamented to himself knowing how his female workers will flock around him all evening today.

Everywhere looks so cool and nice, seeing bright faces like people who have been caged for a long time and now luckily have the chance to come out and play , I would really love to enjoy this cool evening with them but that jerk just had to make me feel inferior again

“Naomi hi! You finally came. We were all waiting, we thought you forgot about the gathering” Daniel said to me after running to meet me at the entrance and he immediately stops to take a look at me in casual clothes

and damn you look so good in those tight jeans and the fitted top it brings out all your curves , Daniel said to himself looking at me like I was pizza and ready to devour me any minute.

“I was just a little tired and I honestly almost lost track of time but I’m ready to enjoy myself now, it’s been a hectic week for me and trust me you won’t understand”, I said looking at him and giving him a forced out smile because I was getting really annoyed by his disturbing gaze on my body

Guy I’m not a fucking meal and why is everyone staring at me. I know I’m beautiful but I’m not in the mood for all this. If just the one person I want to look at me would, then things would have been easier but no he just has to be a jerk.

“Hi everyone, this is Naomi Steve and she is now part of the company”, Daniel spoke out loudly with an echoing voice while he puts his hands on my back like he was trying to feel my skin

“Thank you Daniel”, I gave him a warm smile and turned my face away from him to others who were obviously now very excited and ready to enjoy themselves

“‘Naomi !!,we thought you were not coming again or maybe you resigned. And We heard that our boss doesn’t really fancy having girls around especially very pretty ones”, Nora said looking at me with pity eyes and a big smile on her face showing that she was really pleased to see me again .

“I’m fine girls just a little bit tired and I know you guys still want to hear about this boss that doesn’t fancy having pretty girls around”, I replied with an honest smile while looking at them both and my eyes fully on Sophie, I’m sure all she wants to talk about is the boss. I can’t really blame her, almost every girl’s dream in this company would be to get a little closer to the boss or even be his baby mama or should I do that instead?
