Chapter six

And here comes the jerk, striding in with those long legs and looking so handsome in his casual clothes. I’m supposed to be mad at him, why the hell I’m I noticing how good he looks this evening.

“Good day sir”, I gave a scornful look as they all stood and chorused almost the same time like robots

“I’m sure you all know that we are here because of our new intake, Naomi Steve. You can all sit and please no titles tonight, forget about work and enjoy yourself and yes no hangovers, you all have work tomorrow and anyone who comes late will be sacked and this is not a threat, it’s a warning”, he said with a stern look on his face as he took a sit close to Daniel

“Good evening Mr Damon, how are you doing today sir?'' Sophie and some other female workers who are clearly fans of our boss' cute face and financial status quickly added as they pushed themselves closer to the boss and they were giving him their best smiles. It was such a funny scene to behold , I literally thought their faces would tear off with the huge smile they had on their face.

“Hmm. I’m good , thank you "Damon added immediately, not even sparing them a glance.

“Naomi come here” his voice resounded in my ears while everyone else pretended like they didn’t even hear his audacious voice and they seemed to blend in as they enjoyed their evening.

“I’m here sir do you need anything?” I asked my jerk of a boss and I was trying so hard not to show forth my anger.

“I’ve gone through the documents and you did a good job, it seems like you want to stay in my company and you not considering resigning at all”, he said with a smirk on his face looking at me directly in the eyes for the first time ever and God! the way those set of ivy blue eyes met mine. He didn’t have that condescending look on his face tonight.

“Oh ok sir and?” I asked waiting to know if those compliments were just a one time thing and more were on its way

“And you did very well. Nice job Mrs Steve” he added finally showing off his cute smile and I must confess he looks sooo good wearing a smile.

“Thank you sir and sir you can just call me Naomi” I replied him and decided to head back to my seat beside Nora.

“And where are you going?”, he said staring at me with those eyes that were like a deep nice pool and I could definitely fall into them any moment and his gaze on my body was so soothing and I immediately felt so confident about my looks.

“I’m going to sit with Nora , enjoy the rest of your evening sir”, I quickly added before the blush in my cheeks starts showing off and suddenly our eyes met and he was like a whole new person in front of me , like someone who needed company.

“You can sit with me Naomi and you look good by the way, maybe you should consider sending in your resignation letter because you look very good in casual clothes”, he muttered and chuckled lightly. I don’t really know what’s going on but this funny side of the boss is quite nice.

“Ok sir , thank you sir for the compliments”, I added with an honest smile spread across my face, I just hope he doesn’t change after this night.

“Won’t you have something to drink? You should enjoy your one free evening now, you never know when next you can” he said staring at me in the eyes like he was gonna give me a load of work to do tomorrow

“Nah, I’m ok sir. I don’t really enjoy taking alcohol, I’m a light drinker” I said more of a whisper

“Well you have to tonight. I’m not really in the mood for drinking but let’s have a shot and drink to you looking so good tonight”,he said having no idea how nice of a compliment he just gave me.

“I’ll definitely drink to that sir”, I said feeling so happy that he wasn’t messing up my evening for me like he did before this outing.

“Naomi tell me why you really wanted to join this company? I saw that my father already gave you the position and there was nothing I could do” he asked putting me in a position where I have to make up a lie.so this was a set up , he just wanted to know how I got to work with him, I’m sure he doesn’t really want me close and I was fucking happy that he might have a good side

“I went to business school sir and I was one of the best graduating student and i always hoped to work with a big business firm. I didn’t really know about your company but then I applied and I got in and now I’m happy I get to work close with a business minded man like you sir” I finally said and luckily all wasn’t a lie. There’s definitely no going back. I'm going to seduce this prick and makes sure he falls hard.

“Ok. That’s good to know, I just want to be sure you were not sent by anyone” he said giving me an innocent smile. Why is this jerk not straight , I hope I’m not misunderstanding him but it doesn’t change the fact that I’m still going to make him fall so deep for me

“And why would you think that sir?” I asked knowing fully well that I was sent by someone

“My dad has been worried lately about me, he thinks I was greatly affected after I lost my mom which resulted in me not being able to relate with ladies anymore. I’m sorry if you are not suppose to hear this, I just feel if you are going to be here for a while I can at least talk with you” he said with a sad look on his face and I couldn’t believe my jerk of a boss just told me of his personal problems. Is he already high? But we took just one shot

“Ok sir but was it because of your mom you couldn’t relate with other ladies?” I decided to finally ask and help him just tonight and continue with my plans tomorrow because he looks so sad and I feel bad for him

“I think so. I lost a great friend, she was my other part and losing her created an emptiness in me for a while but I think I’m better now” he said smiling it off as he turned to look at me

“Ok sir. So you do have female friends around?”,I honestly asked

“Not yet but I want to start with you” he said smoothly giving me a shock

“And why is that sir?”, I asked feeling quite nervous

“I’m sincerely trying to avoid a lot of questions from my dad and all his unnecessary dinner nights with my step brother and you seem like a daring one”, he said looking at me with a smirk on his face.

“Ohh ok sir. So to be clear you just need me to clear every belief that you can’t relate well with ladies?” I asked, getting really pissed now but this friendship might help me quickly achieve my plans so why not? I thought to myself

“So are we good?, and I think we should head back home now , some people have gone already and I was damn serious about firing anyone that comes in late tomorrow” he added with his serious face back on and we decided to head out and then we went our separate ways. I just hope this doesn’t cause any issues because I noticed Sophie’s eyes on me all evening, I’m not ready for any petty fight.
