A dangerous game

Ava's pov

I glared at the guy, my mind racing with thoughts. "Julian sent you here? Why? What for?" I demanded, trying to keep my voice steady.

"He sent me because of Alex, not because of you," he replied.

I was scared. Did Julian send him to harm me or my child? I remembered him asking if I had a child. He would be furious if he discovered Aiden was his.

"Max, stay with him and gather more information," I instructed.

As Max nodded, I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. I didn't feel comfortable leaving my baby alone in the house. I wondered how many men Julian had sent and where the rest of them were.

"Papa, come here," I said to Aiden, he climbed onto my laps, and I held him tightly.

"Let's watch my favorite movie," he said.

I turned on the television, the sound of PJ Masks filling the background. Max walked inside, and i raised a curious brow. He nodded.

"Maria! Please come take Aiden upstairs!" I yelled loudly.
