Baking up feelings

Ava's pov

As Julian handed me the bowl of flour, his finger brushed against mine, sending a shiver down my spine.

"Thanks," I muttered, trying to sound nonchalant, but my heart raced with the brief touch. I moved away from him, trying to compose myself.

Julian's eyes locked on mine, his intense gaze made my stomach flutter. "I'm excited to taste your cookies too. It's been so long, and I barely remember how they taste," he said.

I bit my lip to avoid talking, trying to ignore the memories that flooded my mind. Instead, I focused on mixing the dough.

"So, where is the gold?" Julian asked, I turned to him crossing my arms across my chest.

"Why asking about the gold all of a sudden? You kidnapped me remember?" I said with an attitude.

He sighed, pinching his nose as he leaned against the fridge. "What can i do to make you like me?" He questioned.

"Let me go, Julian," I replied.
