Chapter 6: A New Home

“His Fiancée?” She questioned raising a brow to me before a mocking laugh followed.”Isaiah doesn't do Fiancée dear”

Okay maybe I wasn't his fiancée but the difference between his girlfriend and fiancee was not  so much right?

“Well, I am his girlfriend” I rephrased, embarrassment washing over me.

“Contracted.” She corrected.

“It doesn't matter.”

Who was this woman by the way ? Her face looked very familiar like I had seen it somewhere before.

My mouth hung open as soon as I realized who she was…Angel Sung.

The famous Glamorous model and Isaiah's ex-contracted girlfriend but what was she doing here? It was clearly stated in the magazine that Isaiah was done with Angel, their breakup was something everyone knew about so what was she still doing here?

“Isaiah’s girlfriend ?” She laughed again but this time more hysterically. “I'd suggest you take your things and leave now, while I'm still being nice to you.”

I stood there dumbfounded. I knew she was a very important rich and fabulous lady but she had no right to tell me to leave. I had already signed the contract and so long the months weren't exhausted I would be going nowhere.

“I'm sorry but I think the message should be direct to you instead,” I shot back.”Though his contracted girlfriend I still have every right to be here, so kindly leave before I call security.”

Angel looked like she had just seen a ghost but I stood firm on my words, never letting her words affect me even the slightest.

She sneered, her eyes piercing into me and if looks could kill I would have been long dead by now.

“You'll regret this I promise you that” she said before picking up her coat and  making her way out the glass door.

I couldn't help but feel a bit unease, she was rich and of high standing. Someone like me didn't stand a chance if she chose to launch some kind of attack. I was defenseless but something in me still kept burning in me.

I shook my head dismissing the incident that had just taken place and made my way up the elegant dark marble staircase that laid in the middle of the room.

Now I just had to find my room and according to the few words Isaiah had told me, it was on the second floor down the hall by the right. I had absolutely no idea which was the second hall because the hall was so freaking big and the housekeeper wouldn't be around till noon. Just great.

“Miss McCray,” I heard a voice call from behind. I looked over to see a young girl dressed in a maid uniform with her black hair packed in a messy bun.

“You are Mi-Miss McCray right?” She asked, her head lowered in a bow with her hand playing with the hem of her gown. Was she nervous?

“Yes.” I nodded.

“I'm the housekeeper's daughter,” She wouldn't be available today so I'll be filling in until she comes back.”

The girl looked just around her teen age, perhaps sixteen or seventeen.

“Follow me to your room ma’am” Her head still lowered in a bow as she gestured I follow after her.

She waited for me to move before proceeding to walk behind me but close enough so I could see her.

We finally arrived in a spacious bedroom with well sculpted bedroom furnishings with a bed centered in the middle. The room was nothing like I had ever seen before. The room was paining in all white with a slender window covered in purple curtains just beside the bed. It was breaking.

“That is the bathroom,” The girl spoke again, gesturing to a white door by the left corner of the room. “That is the closet.” She pointed just close to the bathroom door.

She opened the closet door and I could see my bags already situated inside just waiting for me to set everything in place.

“Dinner would be ready in the dining hall.” With that she turned on her heels and left the room leaving me alone in the quiet and spacious room.

During dinner the silence of the house came creeping in, the only thing that could be heard was my cutlery making contact with the food bowl. The meal was delicious as expected, nothing less than the luxurious meal fitted for royalty.

Afterwards, I decided to explore the mansion. Isaiah had told me earlier that I could go anything well except his room that was strictly prohibited.

Not that it bothered me,I had no business invading his personal space. The only reason for this contract relationship was because I wanted to get back at Jeffrey and so far it wasn't going so great.

The entire house was nothing like I expected, the silence was deafening and to make matters worse my so-called boyfriend was nowhere to be found.

I walked down the stunning hall taking in its beauty. The entire place was a masterpiece crafted in elegance.

I came across a wooden oak door with ancient crafting on its body, it was situated at the end of the first floor hall.

“This is the house library Ma'am.” The young girl from earlier who had been walking behind me spoke.

I opened the large door, the smell of old papers welcomed my nostrils immediately revealing a room filled with books. It was like a fortress of books of different sizes, an entire world on its own. At the right corner was a desk neatly arranged books at the top.

“The Master's study.”

I strolled towards the table, my fingers grazing on the furnishings. A certain books at the side of the table caught my attention. Unlike the others it was place in the center of the table with a pen still placed in between.

Just as I reached out to take a look. The young girl spoke.

“Master, doesn't allow anyone touch that.”
