It had been a few days since Dean turned in his resignation. But Corbyn didn't even know about Dean's actual situation.

Sylvia strode into Dean's house before he could respond to her question.

"Don't come in," Dean spoke up right away.

He was an extremely territorial person who hated it when others stepped into his residence.

Upon noticing the unconcealed disgust on Dean's face, Sylvia could only smile bitterly in response. She took a step backward, returning to the doorway once again.

She said apologetically, "I'm sorry, Dean. I know that you think I've stolen your client and your position. In fact, you most likely think that I'm the reason you were forced to quit your job. But the truth is, I don't harbor any hostility toward you at all."

"What?" Corbyn raised his voice immediately. "Not only did you steal Deanie's client and position, but you also made him quit his job?"

Sylvia looked surprised. "Huh? You didn't know what happened to Dean?"
