Veronica repeated the same thing she had told Corbyn in the past. "Men are like dogs. Don't put him on a high pedestal, okay?"

Corbyn's expression remained frozen. He didn't react to Veronica's words at all. It wasn't clear whether or not he actually took her words into consideration.

Veronica could only shake her head when she noticed Corbyn's expression. "Let's not dwell on this topic. It's time for the meeting."

The reason Veronica decided to show up for work was she needed to attend a relatively important meeting that was hosted by Vlad himself.

Vlad was the founder-slash-chairman of Bloomberg Group. He didn't get to retire despite his age. It was mostly due to the fact that all three of his children were unable to lead the company on their own. As for those who came from the third generation, only two of them managed to fit Vlad's criteria.

The first candidate was Corbyn, his grandson. The second candidate was Amanda, his granddaughter.
