Chapter 10

Corbyn had no idea how he made it home that day.

He felt as if he was floating the whole time. He couldn't even think straight. He tried recollecting everything he'd said to Veronica earlier.

He realized in horror that he seemed to have spilled everything—including what should and should never have been said.

Fuck. He was done for.

Corbyn's sweet, demure, and innocent image was completely shattered now. Besides, he had also just been exposed to having been lying constantly to his boyfriend…

Corbyn was terrified, but he didn't know why. He reached forward, looking for purchase, but only managed to grab onto the air. He didn't even know what he was trying to grab hold of anymore.

Dean resumed his usual calm and quiet self once they got home. However, his silence only further aggravated Corbyn's fear and anxiety.

Corbyn mustered up his courage as he spoke slowly, "Deanie… I didn't lie to you intentionally."

"Lying is seldom never intentional," Dean replied in a calm voice.
