Chapter 92

Micah's POV

I pulled myself out of bed, feeling much better than I had in days physically, but worse off emotionally.

I still hadn't spoken to Maya in days.

I had been on my way to Maya's two days ago when I had fallen Ill thanks to the new cook. She'd not been informed that I was allergic to shellfish and so for two days, I was bed ridden and had almost died.

I needed to go find Maya and explain myself. I could no longer give myself the excuse of being bed ridden even though I had texted her non-stop since the day she broke up with me.

A knock soon sounded on my door.

"Come in." I yelled, knowing it was probably one of the maids.

The door opened and as I had suspected, Freya walked in with a tray of chicken pepper soup and medications.

"Good morning young master, breakfast is served," she said, carefully laying the tray on my bedside table.

"Thanks Freya," I sighed. She bowed and walked out.

I took a seat, ate my breakfast and then took my medication as soon as I was done
