Daniel's POV

I stepped into the small cell where Maya was and put on the light.

The room immediately lit up and Maya who was seated in the corner looked up at me with disdain in her eyes.

"Glad to see you too" I quipped , leaning against the door frame, my hand folded around my chest.

"I'm not." She spat instantly, still glaring at me like she was staring at the devil himself.

She looked tired and stressed out and her eyes were puffy and covered with dark circles.

"So stubborn."

I quipped, shaking my head in amusement.

I walked towards her and

I stopped in front of her, a smile appearing on my face.

"What do you want?" She asked, her tone aggressive and filled with irritation.

"Just came to see how you are doing. Whitney tells me you've been yelling and refusing to eat."

"And why do you care?" She askef.

"I care because you belong to me and I don't want you sickly before I even get the chance to mark you."
