Lydia's POV

"Well, I guess I should probably go straight to the point," My mother said, tucking her hair behind her ears.

You think?!

"So, a Sir Silas from another pack sent me this letter, saying that he is interested in marrying you and that he's willing to buy this entire house from the landlord if you accept."

I stared blankly at my mother.

"I have no idea who a sir Silas is, mom."

"You don't have to deny it anymore simply because he's older. I know he's my age and I know he's the Alpha's friend."

My mother said as if she'd just dropped a bombshell.

All I could think about was how confused I was.

I didn't know a sir Silas from another pack but I couldn't say that because then I'd have to take her to the Alpha and thank him who is in no way involved in this.

"I also think you should accept his hand."

"What?"

I stood up abruptly from where I sat, sure I had heard wrong.

"I know it's sudden but it's for the best. You could literally be affiliated with the Alpha just by marrying him.
