Micah's pov.

I paced the tiny cell, my handcuffs jingling as I did, trying to figure out an escape plan.

All my attempt at mindlinking my father had been useless. It was like there was some kind of force field blocking me from being able to reach him.

Juliet had not been back since the last time she had come here and it irked me that I had no idea what was going on out there.

I had no idea what was going on outside of these walls and it upset me. Knowledge was power but right now the only knowledge I had was that Juliet wanted to marry me.

She'd mentioned that she had Maya with her here but I didn't believe her. It couldn't be true but there was no way of verifying whether or not she was telling the truth. I also couldn't mindlink Maya even though I had marked her.

Juliet had thought of everything it seemed.

There was probably a barricade of wolfs bane around that was preventing me from mind linking anyone outside these walls.
