Aunt Gomez's POV

“We found nothing,” my brother said, his eyes dark and angry as he walked up to me in front of the hospital.

“Not even a scent or a fucking trail. It's like the entire woods was bleached with something that's taken away all of the scent.”

He ran his hands through his hair

“Where are your men?” I asked, worried as hell but trying not to show it.

*Still looking but we found nothing in the cabin.”

*Can't you activate your senses and find her?”

I asked. This was the fifth time I was asking him this and the anger was already evident in his expression.

“I've told you, I can't use them anymore. After Mariam died, my powers became weaker. I can't do anything even if I wanted to.”

He said with a tired sigh.

*Maybe she's out of town.* I suggested, not sure what to think.

“How's her friend?” Angel asked, deciding not to acknowledge my previous statement.

“She's in a coma, poor kid. I wonder who hit her.”
