Chapter 119

Daniel's POV

Twelve years ago.

“Mom, what's dad doing?”

I asked, staring at my dad as he put on some clothes.

“Um, today is a tournament. See, daddy is trying to fight with uncle Darius and at the end he'll win and become a great leader.

Dad really hated uncle Darius, his brother. I had heard him say it several times but after grandpa's death, the hate had become worse. He'd become meaner to mom and everyone else. I wasn't even allowed to play with Maya anymore.
