BLAIR'S POV CONTINUES I couldn't be excited over my first phone coming from Brian, since his messages were scary and I wasn't sure what to think anymore. I made him breakfast, helped him shower and did every other thing for him. I didn't dare to leave his side, since I didn't want him to leave me. BLAIR’S POV I fell into the chair in the room, with nothing but pain in my heart and tears in a non-stop flow from my eyes. ‘What was happening?’ I queried. ‘Maybe, just maybe, I was never supposed to be here,’ ‘This was all a big mistake,’ I thought. ‘What was I supposed to do?’ I was in tears and buried in thoughts for a long while, until I dozed off, but was awakened by a knock on the door.I reluctantly got out of the sofa to the door. I opened the door without any questions, and found no one at the door. I lifted my head and found a vehicle hurriedly driving off. It was dark and only a few hours left until midnight, but I noticed the Royal blue color and recognized the vehicle as Brian's. I wasn't sure why anyone would knock on the door, only to zoom off, without a word, or as much as seeing my face. BRIAN'S POV “I don't know what you hope to achieve with this, Stacy,” I said, as soon as she dropped the call with Blair. “She's a gold digger, she will dump right into your things with another man,” Stacy said. “Wouldn't you be talking about yourself, with that description?” I fired at her. The displeasure on Stacy's face was almost instant. “I don't appreciate getting insulted for trying to help you, Brian,” she said. “That's the problem, Stacy,” I don't see this helping me,” I responded in a very firm tone. “She was given to me in marriage, and she didn't have any idea who I was,” I said, “so what is this about?” “This is a terrible mistake,” I said, walking away, “I wonder why I ever consented to this nonsense,” heading for the door, furiously. “You can't leave now, Brian,” she said, “It’s too late.” Stacy said.“What are you yapping about?” I rolled my eyes. “You don't know?” She said, “You just became an accomplice to the murder of a man, Brian,” she said, her tone ca

BLAIR’S POV Early the next morning, there was a knock on the door, and I hurried out of bed to get the door. A part of me, hoping it was Brian. I opened the door and found Sebastine at the other side of the door. Glad to be having company, I threw my arms around his neck, holding him in a tight embrace. “We have to leave,” he said, pulling me out of the house by the hand. “I can't leave,” I protested. “What if Brian returns?” I asked. “Or Stacy? What if she wants something and Brian pays for my absence?” I shared my wild thoughts. “What if she returns for you?” Sebastine asked me. “You'd be the next she comes for,” he said, “and heaven knows what she'll do to you if she can treat someone she loves like she is treating Brian.”Sebastine's concerns were valid and I couldn't argue. BLAIR'S POV CONTINUES The beeping sound of the sphygmomanometer meant to offer some comfort of his stability, only scared me. I watched him lay there after the urgent surgery to pull the bullet right out of his stomach, and try to replace the pints of blood he lost. I stood outside the door, looking through the glass opening at how peacefully he was lying. “Don't you dare give up on me, Brian,” I muttered. I hated that I had come to love him this much, and no matter how far I tried to run, I always had a reason to stay close. It was more difficult to see him hurt than hearing sounds of him being shot over the phone. “Mrs. Craig?” The doctor called, as he got to me. “Doctor?” I responded. My heart skipped a beat at his call. “Mr. Craig suffered Hypovolemic shock,” he began.“This inadequate supply of blood to his organs led to gradual failure of his organs and I'm afraid he slipped into a coma before we could find any blood sources,” the doctor continued. “Luckily, we were ab

BLAIR'S POV“Was this a joke?” I questioned Steven. “Not at all, Blair,” he said. “It was her,” “It was all her. All these years,” he continued. “All the attacks,” Steven went on and on. “Wait, wait, wait,” I paused Steven. This was way too much for me to take. “So for three years, Stacy was the one who wanted him dead?” I questioned. “She returned two years after their awful breakup, blaming Brian for all of her misfortune,” Steven shared. “According to her, she gave up her, she found out she was pregnant for Brian, after she left, and although she made various attempts to reach out to Brian,” “Brian was unavailable, busy with work and she had some complications during childbirth, causing her to lose both the baby and the womb,” Steven said. “She was broken and sent the dead baby to our doorstep one morning, but we thought it was psycho and buried the child, after calling the cops,” Steven continued. “Although she wrote a letter a few months later to Brian, sharing how she

BLAIR'S POV CONTINUES The drive away from the hospital was the toughest decision I made, but at least it was a decision I made for me. All through the drive, Sebastine was quiet, he took frequent glances at me and went further to hold my hand. For the bulk of the journey, I was seated in silence, with streams of tears flowing down my cheeks endlessly. Upon our arrival at the apartment, I quietly got out of the car, and walked into the apartment, not looking back at Sebastine or thinking of anything else. Shortly after, I heard Sebastine’s car driving away. I was buried deep into the couch and made no attempt to get out. My head was already aching so badly from all the crying and overthinking. Not only was Brian's identity a secret, at the time of our marriage, he had too many skeletons in his cupboard, which all began to burst out, after we got together. After minutes of thought, I decided on my father's last words- I was going back home. I got out of the couch, folding up t

BLAIR'S POV I returned to the beeping sound of the sphygmomanometer and constant prayers to see Brian overcome this. Steven had left the hospital before my return and apparently had more to do in bringing Stacy to book, than he did here at the hospital. While I wasn't the happiest person, to be adjist drama, I wanted it to be over really fast. All I desired was a peaceful existence with the men I now loved. Sebastine's words echoed over and over in my head. ‘The boundaries of love are the only ones we create and our limits are only as far away as we set them.’ If this was my chance forever, I wasn't about to ruin it by not trying to preserve it. As the days went by, with Stacy in police custody and Brian hanging on to life by a thin thread, it was gradually becoming a quiet life. However, all efforts to save Brian declined, hence making my life a sad one. “Please, stay,” I wept over his bed, watching him lay still and almost lifeless. “Blair,” I heard a familiar voice call,
