Chapter 71: Mate

Charlotte’s pov

We went to the training grounds, and everyone was training.

“Little brother, how about we battle a bit?” Justice asked Logan.

Logan looked at me, we have enough problems already and the last thing we need is to rattle their cage.

“No thank you brother, I am just here to watch” Logan said, and I smiled.

He sure has a lot of sense; we don’t need any problems arising right now.

I do know that something big is going to happen once Alexa’s plan comes to fruition.

We stayed there and watched as they trained, and Logan joined them after some time.

He is really patient while Justice on the other hand is the opposite and uses this as a place to bully others.

Suddenly Logan stopped moving and looked this side smiling, “are my eyes deceiving me?” he said.

I turned around and there was a girl behind me, the brown hair and dark grey eyes tell me she is Elena.

He hugged her, “I missed you too brother” she said as she hugged him.

“Elena, how are you?” Justice asked her also coming to her side.

“I am okay brother, give me a hug” she said, and Justice hugged her.

So, he isn’t a dickhead to everyone I see, they said a few words and then her eyes landed on me.

“I am guessing that is your mate Logan,

she really is human.

I am proud of you” I heard her say.

She is so bright and so full of light.

“Hello, my name is Elena” she said.

I held her hand, “my name is Charlotte, nice to meet you” I said, and she smiled.

“You must be having a hard time with my brothers. They can be really annoying” she said looking at her two brothers.

“Mostly Logan, he acts all nice, but he is a real nuisance” she added making Logan frown.

“Don’t bad mouth me in front of my mate” he said and the went back to training.

“I don’t feel like staying here. want to go back home with me?” she asked, and we walked together.

“You seem really close with your brothers,

even Justice, that’s something I didn’t see coming” I said, and she smiled.

“I am a woman, to my brother Justice I have never been a threat to him.

Why do you think I always leave home every chance I get?

To get out of the whole debate for the throne” she said.

“So, you think that is why he doesn’t seem to hate you? Because he doesn’t see you as a threat?” I asked her and she thought about it.

“Brother Justice was really nice when we were growing up, but he was bullied at a young age” she then paused.

“The older guys always bugged him,

they had wolves and he didn’t so he couldn’t defend himself.

He buried everything inside himself and one day he exploded” she said and then paused.

“I don’t think villains are born, I think they are made and no matter what they are both my brothers” she added.

I looked at her, her aura is so pure and reminds me of someone I have met before.

It reminds me of my cousin Mary, she was always so kind and nice.

She had this aura too, didn’t always judge a book by its cover and always saw good in people.

“That was really beautiful, I bet you are an amazing sister” I said, and she nodded.

“Don’t tell them what I am about to say, if you do I will deny it and then bury you alive” she said with a smile.

“I love my brothers” she whispered and then chuckled.

We went inside and then you should have seen the look on her father’s face.

The man was so happy to see his daughter.

Logan told me that she always had him wrapped around his finger.

He even said that Elena never wanted to be given the chance to earn the throne.

She didn’t want the whole power thing to get between her and her brothers.

And honestly as I look at her, her aura I can tell that just like Mary she will make a great leader.

You see Mary and I were in line to be the coven leader of our covens.

The more I think about it we were also going to be pitied against each other.

I was definitely stronger than her but that doesn’t guarantee that I would have made a great leader.

Mary was kind, she was sweet and always have it her best.

She supported me, now I do wonder, is she also hunting me down?

Is my sweet cousin whom I loved a lot hunting me down like I am some monster?

I left them to have their privacy and started helping the cooks to make some food.

“Thank you so much for this” one of the cooks said and I nodded.

“Well at least you are not like Sasha,

she would barge in here and say she wants to finish up cooking and then doesn’t do anything” one of the cooks said.

“You said that she comes here? how many times did she?” I asked them and one of them shrugged.

“A few times actually, we all hate her. She is really terrible” they answered.

“So, everyone here hates her? And you would never do anything for her?” I asked them and they nodded.

We finished up cooking and that cleared a few things for me though.

All this time I kept wondering how on earth someone managed to poison the Alpha King without anyone suspecting.

I wondered that on the omegas who would dare to do such a thing.

Now it makes sense, this portion was specific to the Alpha King.

Everyone who lives in the pack house consumed it but weren’t affected.

This is because it was tailored for him, but why him?

Is it for the same reason we initially thought?

To get him out of the way but for what?

We finished off and bought dinner for everyone.

“You cooked dinner sister-in-law. Is it a special occasion?” Elena asked and I nodded.

“I just wanted to welcome you properly” I said, and she gave me a huge smile.

“Thank you” she said taking a bite with a huge smile.

“This is amazing, you are a great cook sister in law” she said, and I smiled.

“She is an orphan; she probably has been cooking all her life” Sasha said.

“Enough with you and your underhanded comments,

what does being an orphan have anything to do with this?” Logan asked her.

“Well, I am just putting it out there” Sasha said rolling her eyes.

“Putting what out there? The fact that you are an attention seeking bitch?” Alexa asked her.

“What did you just call me? an attention seeking bitch?” Sasha asked.

“Yes, and I have more names like that if you want to hear them” Alexa replied.

Sasha glared at her witch made Alexa smirk.

“what? Getting angry little wolf? Too bad there is nothing you can do” Alexa added.

“I will kill you” Sasha said getting up with full force towards Alexa.

Logan got up but I held his hand.

“sit down” I whispered, and he looked at the situation and nodded.

Alexa is very outspoken, usually she only just makes a few comments and hardly provokes anyone.

I could tell that she wanted Sasha to be angry.

I don’t know what her plan is, but I will trust she knows what she is doing.

Sasha held Alexa with one hand and threw her across the room.

“say those words again you human” Sasha growled.

“Really? are you sure you are even a werewolf?

That didn’t even hurt, you cant even throw properly?

Need help with you aim?” Alexa asked.

I watched as Sasha took out her claws and fangs, she charged straight at Alexa with the intent to kill.

“Touch her and you die” a voice said, and I felt this aura surround the room.

Clara was holding Sasha’s hand that was about to slash Alexa like it was nothing.

She looked up and her eyes, her eyes were golden yellow.

The colour of a gamma, Sasha seemed taken aback at first while Clara just frowned.

She looked at Alexa who was on the floor and within seconds threw Sasha across the room.

Sasha didn’t even have a time to respond.

“Lets get one thing straight, next time you try to touch my mate like that I will rip you into pieces” Clara added.

Did she just say mate?

I looked at Alexa who had a smirk as all of this was happening.

Logan’s eyes also landed on me,

that’s when we heard them, bones cracking and Clara screaming in pain.

“She is changing, she is changing into her wolf form” Dean said just as surprised as everyone.

After a few minutes Clara’s wolf stood in the room, it was beautiful and elegant that I couldn’t even believe my own eyes.

Golden yellow eyes with greyish fur, her wolf was just perfect and really massive in size.

She then howled, “amazing” I heard Logan say.

I walked to Alexa and then helped her get up, “told you to leave it to me” she said.

“How on earth did you manage this? How did you do it?” I asked her and she just shrugged.

“I had sex with her, multiple times at that” she replied with so much confidence.

“Wait you did what? You had sex with Clara?” I asked her.

Clara did call her mate so why am I even surprised by this?
