Chapter 97: Forever can spare a few centuries

Sebastian’s pov

We found her unconscious near her mother’s tombstone, and she was breathing just fine.

I let her rest and she woke up 3 days later.

“What happened?” she asked the moment she opened your eyes.

“The blood mark curse, it’s gone,” Mary said, and Charlotte looked at me.

“Is it really gone?” she asked, and we all nodded.

“You are free now sister,” Alexa said, everyone was worried that she hadn’t woken up yet.

But also, somewhat relieved that the blood mark was completely gone.

Mary and David tested her blood and mine more times than I can count.

I was also a part of the curse even though I didn’t know about it.

I wonder what it is that she spoke with her mother about that made her change her mind.

Anger can make people do the scariest things.

Maybe her mother’s anger finally subsided, and they could talk things through.

“What happened? How did this happen?” I asked her and she smiled.

“Forgiveness, we forgave each other,” she simply answered which was all I need.

“Now what?” May asked and Charlotte looked at me.

“I get to spend forever with a man I love,” she answered, and I looked at her.

“Not now, maybe after a century or two,” I said, and she looked at me confused.

“What?” she asked me, and I held her hand.

“It was Scarlet’s dream to be with me forever,” I said, and she nodded.

“But it was Charlotte’s dream to have a family and a white picket fence,” I added.

“What are you saying?” she asked me, and I smiled.

“I am saying that forever can spare a few centuries.

I know you care and love Logan, so go ahead and be with him.

You and I are tied to one another, when you are reincarnated we will find each other,” I said, and she shook her head.

“Are you sure?” she asked me, and I nodded.

“Yes I am sure,” she said, and her eyes landed on everyone in the room.

“You will live a full life as Charlotte, that Is what you deserve sister.

Then when you get reincarnated we will be here waiting for you,” Alexa said.

“I will keep your memories stored somewhere, that way I can give them back to you when you get reincarnated,” May said.

“May and I will use the spell to be hybrids, so we will wait for you as well,” David added.

She looked around, “okay, I will do it,” she said with a smile.

Actually, it was Alexa who came up with the idea.

I agree that at first I hated it but seeing the smile on her face made me realize it wasn’t that bad of an idea.

Alexa told me about how Charlotte and Logan connected when she was living with them.

How for the first time she saw the Charlotte she knew who would dream.

Not to forget that it was their father’s dream that she lives a full life and grows old.

I don’t know about all her past lives, but I do know that In all of them she never got to grow up.

She would always die before even reaching her prime and now she has the chance to do so.

How can I take that away from her?

I have waited for her for almost a millennia so I am certain that I can wait for her for a few more centuries.

I looked around the room and realized that I won’t be the only one waiting for her this time around.

Unlike the last time where I waited for her alone this time I will have people with me.

Plus, I will also be able to keep an eye on her kids, then her grandkids, then her great grandkids and so on.

I will watch over the generation of her bloodline while I wait for her.

I will be their guardian angel and I will create a better world for her.

This time when she gets reincarnated she will be born into an entirely new world.

Supernatural beings and humans will be living alongside one another like she always wanted.

No more hiding in the dark and everyone will get along in this world.

I know there could never be such a thing as a perfect world, but I will try my best to create one.

Obviously, wars and hunger and all those other things will always exist.

“Thank you so much, but I have no idea where he could be,” she said.

“Well, I made a few phone calls, this is his location,” Clara said giving her the location.

Charlotte looked at me and then kissed my forehead.

“Thank you, please wait for me,” she said.

Charlotte’s pov

I got to the address that Clara gave me, and I couldn’t help but smile.

It was exactly how I imagined it, the white picket fence and double story house near a lighthouse.

It was just perfect, I found Logan outside in the garden.

“Well, it’s perfect, but I do believe that something is missing,” I said, and he looked at me with a smile.

He was frozen in place, as If he didn’t know what to do in that moment.

“Aren’t you going to hug your mate?” I asked him and within seconds I was in his arms.

“I don’t understand, how come you are here?” he said, and I just shrugged.

“Forever can spare a few centuries,” I simply answered.

“I will explain everything inside,” I said, and he smiled as he led me inside.

I guess forever can spare a century.
