Sebastian’s pov

“are you sure about what you are saying?” I asked Mark and he nodded.

He took out photos and I couldn’t believe my own eyes

. What is this that I am seeing?

“So, he met this person?” I asked him and he nodded.

“It was clearly a witch, but that’s not the only worrisome news sir” Mark added, and I nodded.

The witch is covering her face, as if she doesn’t want anyone else to see her.

Who is she and why is she meeting Chris?

Why would my best friend meet a witch in secret?

“You will want to see this as well sir” he said and then showed me another picture.

In this picture the witch was meeting with other witches.

But the problem was the person who was talking to her and leading this group.

The woman is Grace Bishop, Charlotte’s vile mother who has been hunting her own daughter down.

Grace is already a powerful witch as it is, she has a great reputation in her coven and others.

Even as she was growing up she showed great promise and was no wonder her kids were also prodigies.

But Charlotte’s magic has been bind to her soul.

Her magic is about a thousand years old, she still doesn’t know how to tap into it.

But she is powerful enough to be able to erase herself from the world.

For years they couldn’t find even the smallest traces of her and now this?

This witch managed to somehow locate someone who couldn’t be located at all.

Someone whom the witches that work for me said that it felt as if she was everywhere and also nowhere.

As if she was air and sometimes as if she was the sky itself.

How did this witch managed to locate her?

How powerful is she to be able to do something like that and that too without any help.

I heard that she did the spell alone according to David.

“That’s not all sir, there is more” he said, and I gestured that he goes ahead.

What terrible news could he probably tell me that will be worse than my best friend’s betrayal.

I have known him for years.

So I do wonder why he did it?

Did this witch force him?

Is there more to this story?

Is he perhaps secretly helping me, and I am just jumping to conclusions?

I looked at the photo he had; well, I guess he really could have the worst news.

The witch met up with Sasha and Justice, Charlotte kept me updated about things that happened around there.

She wanted me to keep an eye on those two and see if they will meet anyone.

Well, they did, and the witch that helped them is the same witch my friend met and also Charlotte’s mother.

All these people are out enemies, they are our enemies which means that my friend is also one of them.

Anyways I have dinner with Rose’s father.

I also invited Chris and my little sister Eliza.

I knew that only one of them could be the mole.

A part of me was hoping it would be Rose or her father.

Although Kate is an old acquaintance he isn’t someone that I trust or ever trusted.

So, I won’t have felt as betrayed and as angry as I do now that I know he really did it.

I got dressed and then got ready for dinner.

I found them already seated, “welcome dear friends” I said as I sat down.

“Its been so long since we dined together. To what do I owe this pleasure?” Kane asked.

“Everyone here is dear to me, we often forget how precious time can be. You know the pecks of immortality” I said, and Kane chuckled.

“Indeed, thank you so much for the invitation” he said, and I smiled. “

Well then, shall we eat?” I asked and everyone nodded as we started eating.

“I haven’t seen you in so long Eliza” Rose said and my little frowned smiled.

Hell, even I could tell the smile was fake, “trust me, it was on purpose” she said making Rose chuckle.

“I see you still hate me a little bit. Those things happened centuries ago” Rose said.

“Come on Sebastian, talk to her for me.

She cant hold a grudge for centuries.

Its not healthy, tell her to forgive me.

She eventually has to forget it all” Rose said.

“Well, I think I am the wrong person to talk to.

I have been in love with one woman for centuries.

I can hardly judge others for something that I am also guilty of” I said.

“Well said Sebastian” Kane said.

“I might have not met her before, but I do believe that she must have been an amazing woman.

Its already hard enough to find a space in someone’s heart.

But she has been in yours for centuries, that is commendable” Kane added.

Rose frowned at this, Kane knows as well that I have no interest in his daughter and he seems to understand this well.

“Don’t encourage him, you will make him even more determined” Chris finally spoke up.

He has been quiet for most of the night which isn’t like him, “yes please don’t” Eliza said and then looked at me.

“It might be commendable, but it also means that my brother has been alone for centuries” she said and then sighed.

“I just wish that he would find happiness, I don’t care who it is with” she said and then looked at Rose.

“Even if it’s someone I can’t stand, I just want my dearest brother to be happy” she added.

“I will be happy little sister, one of these days I will find my happiness. Just you wait and watch” I said and looked at Chris.

He looked down;

I am guessing he knows that he is standing in between my happiness.

I have told him countless of times, actually all of them that I would kill anyone that gets between me and Charlotte.

I do not care if its my sister, my mother or even my best friend.

If they come between me and my love I will trample on them and crush them until they are nothing.

After dinner I went to my office and Chris joined me a little bit after that.

“You seem to be in a foul mood” he said, and I just smiled at little.

“I need your help old friend; I just don’t know where to even begin. You are the only one I can trust with this” I said.

I gestured that he sits down as I pour him a class of scotch.

“What is it? I could tell that something has been weighing on your mind” he said, and I nodded.

“My little brother, he was seen at this location about a few days ago. He is planning something, and it can’t be good” I said.

“You don’t think that he will try to free your parents do you?” he asked, and I shrugged.

‘’Its been centuries, chances are that he changed and doesn’t care about them.

Or he cares even more, its time we caught him as well.

Having him out there always puts me on edge, if my parents are freed we are doomed, this world is doomed” I said, and he quickly nodded.

“I will look into it right away; I will go now, and I will keep you updated friend. I have your back” he added as he finished up and left the room.

Mark came in after him, “sir you should really see this” he said and then showed me a picture.

“Is this what I think it is? Those people seem to be preparing for war” I said, and he nodded.

“I am afraid so sir, what will you do now?” he asked, and I smiled.

“The only thing I can do now, I will go to see my one and only true love” I replied.
