Catherine's POV:

Even as the glasses clinked, I was far away from here, my thoughts bothering around how any of these had been possible in the first place?

I blinked, looking down at my drink as questions flew over my head. When did that happen? Of course, I know he meant this as a surprise for me but when had it all happened? When were the papers found? When was it destroyed?

I felt my knees buck underneath me but I remained standing, trying not to look like I was the most shocked of everyone. Now, I understood why he was being all sweet to me. I had no idea what to feel.

Of course, I should be happy. Hell, he had promised to go to the ends of the earth to make sure he proved to me that he really cared. But I had no idea what to trust anymore. What if he was doing this so he could get custody of the kids? Because hell, it definitely felt like that.
