Chapter Ninety-three

Catherine's POV:

"Hello there, you must be Catherine."

I turned to see a woman, dressed in a purple gown that flowed to her legs standing before me with a smile on her face. She had a shock of jet back hair that flowed to her waist.

I barely even recognized her and that was when it dawned on me that I knew none of Michael's friends or the people he related with.

I had no idea how that made me feel but I smiled at her. She was really polite and there was definitely no harm in speaking to her.

"Hi, there. Of course, I am."

"Can I?" She asked, gesturing to the empty seat before me.

I nodded at her, releasing Julia who was struggling to get out of my lap so she could go play with the other kids. I allowed her before facing the woman. She took her seat and just placed her purse on the table. She had a permanent smile plastered on her face and I couldn't help but be mesmerized by it.

"I didn't catch your name," I asked once she was settled in.
