Second Chance

I ran down the hallway with my fingers trembling from me having to have been caught walking in on the Alpha.

I had felt so hurt watching my mate have it all with someone without regards to how I would feel about any of what was happening.

“Kathy!!”

“Stop this minute!!” he yelled running from behind me.

I wasn't going to stop whether or not he pulled down the house with his voice at the top.

I still wasn't going to stop.

All I suddenly wanted was to get away from the house and away from anyone around me.

And with the way I ran up ahead not wanting to listen, I was ready to leave.

I pushed open the door leading to the main living room of the house.

I had hit my leg against the little brick by the stairs, but I moved further away from the scene.

I ran out into the open space of the pack house, heading to the garage and luckily there were guards around.

Perfect!!… I muttered to myself thinking I had gotten help and was going to be able to get out of the so-called mansion I felt I was no longer needed.

“I want to go home,” I said to the guard standing right next to the car parked in the garage.

The guard stood still by the car, staring into space acting like I wasn't there.

I felt a bit of a tear roll down my cheeks as I was ignored by the guard standing right in front of me.

I moved away from the garage, heading to the gate of the mansion where there were enough guards to hold me up from jumping over the fence and making any attempts to pulling down the gate.

The guard by the gate stood right in front of me almost immediately like he had it in my mind to block me from going out of the pack premises.

“Let me out!!” I ordered yelling at the guards as tears rolled down my cheeks.

All I cared about was going away from here, but at the same time I wondered why I felt so affected.

And then again remembered we were meant to be mates, but unfortunately, I just wasn't enough for the one man provided by the moon goddess.

“Let her be!!” I heard him yell standing by the main door.

I turned to find him by the door staring at me with rage in his eyes.

I knew I shouldn't have walked in the minute I felt my wolf growl.

The minute our eyes met, my wolf felt overly excited watching him walk towards me.

And in that moment as he did the lady came out of the house with an evil smile on her face.

Apparently, she turned out to be his Ex Rosa who had been rumored around town to be his one true Luna up until the mating ceremony where it was discovered that fortunately, he had no mate.

I clenched my fist, the minute she got up close to me.

My eyes trailed in her way, watching her move over to her car as she drove off.

Bryson stood right in front of me, with his eyes locked in mine like the other night causing my wolf to howl.

I had my teeth tightened not wanting her to lash out.

I hated how he made my whole body tingle from me just staring into his eyes even from a distance.

I clenched my fist holding on to the slit on my dress, trying to take my mind off the fact that I was extremely angry and upset with whatever had happened.

I looked away pulling my hand away from his grip moving steps away from him.

Why the hell is he getting me all confused?!!!..

One minute he wants to have it all with me in bed. I thought to myself.

He held on to my wrist pulling so hard on me like it had suddenly become all he had always wanted to.

The more I stared into his eyes, the more threatened I felt having him around me.

Scenes where I was being treated so badly by my foster father soon resurfaced in my head.

As I suddenly pulled my hands away from his, he pulled me closer to himself than ever.

“Why did you?” he asked, tightening his grip on me.

“Is this your way of knowing how bad I felt seeing any of that?” I yelled at him.

He smiled, staring at me like he never cared about the fact that I felt hurt watching.

“Why are you doing this?” I yelled trying to break loose from his grip.

And without any word, he had me pulled right into the mansion.

I had felt so nauseous all of a sudden and somewhat exhausted from all the yelling in my head.

The more steps I took, following suit from behind the more nauseous I got from all that was happening.

All at once I felt so dizzy as he had me pulled from behind him.

I wondered where it was he wanted me dragged on to.

As we went on and on, going up the stairs leading to my chambers I couldn't hold it back in anymore.

The walls felt more like they were closing in on me, as I felt him pull me hard from behind him.

I could feel my hands trembling from the effect of me having to watch him bring back bad memories of my father Beta Damian.

And Just as expected, I held on to my banging head which felt so heavy all of a sudden.

I couldn’t tell why I was suddenly feeling this way, but knew from within me that something was wrong.

In no time, the dizzy feeling kicked in again and this time making it so uncontrollable.

I couldn't help but fall to the ground as all I heard faintly echoing was my name called out.

And in that little moment of silence in my head, I blacked out…
