11 - Feelings

As days passed by, I became close with my children. We’re playing, studying and reading stories for them. I was actually fun. Sana nagawa ko na noon palang. But my babies are still young, kaya babawi ako hangga’t mahaba pa ang panahon bago pa sila tuluyang magdalaga’t binata. I’m sure they won’t need me as much as they reached their teenage life, just like I did during mine.

Studying my medical books again, I felt a deep yearning to return to my work as a doctor. It wasn't just about fulfilling a professional duty; it was about finding the strength and courage to resume a role that held immense responsibility and meaning.

The path back to practicing medicine wasn't simple. It required more than just academic knowledge; it demanded emotional readiness and mental preparedness. Each page I studied, each concept I reviewed, was a step towards regaining my confidence and readiness to serve as a healer once more.
