By the time I woke up, I was in a hospital bed. Right beside me was the face of a woman.

"Mindy! You're awake! Goodness me, I was scared as hell earlier!"

The lady was Celia Janssen, the next-door neighbor.

She soothed herself and said, "I heard an argument at your house last night. I was worried about you, so I went over to check if things were alright. When I entered, I saw you unconscious on the ground."

"Thank you for bringing me to the hospital, Celia."

"Don't mention it, Mindy. You mustn't get yourself worked up now that you're pregnant. The doctor explained that you were experiencing some signs of a potential miscarriage. You need to be more mindful of this!"
