Sonia was with Jake at the time, and as soon as she looked at me, she casually commented, "Why are you here, Ms. Bridgerton? You don't have an appointment—"

"Move aside unless you want to be slapped a second time," I exclaimed, drawing the attention of everyone nearby.

Sonia felt insulted, but Jake simply said, "Give us a bit of privacy, please."

Sonia was left with no other choice except to turn around and leave.

I submitted the revised divorce paper to Jake, and it elicited a chuckle from him. "Seventy percent? You have no chance of winning this divorce lawsuit, Mindy!"

I shrugged. "You sure about that? I'm only demanding this much because you've been unfaithful!"

I took out the photo and placed it in front of him. "Bring it on. If I can't get a divorce, I'm content with ruining your reputation! You can't seem to draw a line in your relationship with your assistant, and I'm curious what your business competitors might think if they saw these photos."

"You were spying on me?!"
