Chapter 47 - Blood is thicker than water

Watching the exchange between my parents was almost an out of body experience. I felt like an intruder.
I had never known them at there best, but it was obvious, even to me that there was once love there. It had simply changed of the course of history. Their respective ideals had changed, and the had grown into different people.
Lilith held the bloodied dagger in her shaking hand, as she stared at the stop that Lucifer once stood. Her eyes gleamed as tears spilled over, falling down her cheeks. Her lips trembled as she tried to hold herself together.
“We should go.” Lysander spoke up behind me. This seemed to break Lilith from her own thoughts as her head whipped over to us once more.
“Yes,” she said, hastily wiping her wet cheeks, “but first we should locate where the portal to the hunters realm is. To do that I need to scry.” With that, she turned and walked back towards her cottage, with a wave of a arm and a gesture

I arrived at the cave at around midday in the human realm. The Autumn sun was high in the sky, and trees surrounding the lake were shedding ready for the long winter nights. I stepped into the dark cave, which gave off a dark aura that made me want to step back into the light. I would assume it is a self defence mechanism to stop unsuspecting humans from just walking into the underworld. The portal itself was remarkably unspectacular. It stood tall like a standing mirror, only with no glass. It was a doorway, that you stepped through. From my minimal knowledge of portals, I had gleaned that portals could be tricky. They had a standard point that they would pick you up and drop you off as it were. But should you wish to go to a more specific location, it was possible if you thought about the room in which you wish to enter. I had thought long and hard about what my plan of attack would be when I reached the underworld. And it was a fairly simple one. F
