PARKER IN THE HOSPITAL

Jimmy and Lewis rushed to the hospital and went directly to the ward he was admitted which was a private ward. But due to the conversion disorder, he was transferred to High Dependent Unit (HDU) since he needed close observation. His doctor was present and was pleased to see Jimmy and explained that the patient had a conversion disorder but was responding well to treatment it was wise for Jimmy brought him to the hospital earlier on because if it had happened when he was in the hospital if the condition had gotten him when he was in the house it could be too late to control the condition.  The doctors wanted to inform the immediate family he is your father Jimmy said no father in law ooh congratulations I didn’t know you got married. The beautiful lady you were with is your wife yes, Jimmy replied congratulations man that's a bold step to take be happy then he remembered Jimmy asking about a gynecologist which he referred Jimmy, and decided to ask, I don’t want to be nosy but is your wife? Yes she is pregnant and you see how fragile it is the father is sick and in her fragile condition, please tell me what do I do, the doctor replied just take care of the stressful issues, you can’t hide her father’s condition but see how you can address her because how many months is she pregnant if you don’t mind my asking Jimmy replied about two months the doctor replied the first three months are the most fragile take care of her man and congratulations. You can visit him but I am limiting his visitors to two until he’s out of the HDU Unit. You can visit him and the mother doesn’t let your wife visit the ward you can use the excuse of limiting visitors the first three months of a woman’s pregnancy is delicate.

Ken went and picked up Tina called his mum and dad and told him about Mr. Parker’s condition then told Tina to call Lily and her mum since they were the immediate family and they had to be present in the hospital.  He picked Tina they called the nanny’s to sleep with the babies and then they went to Pick up Lily and her mum Sally who seemed to have panicked but Tina assured them all was okay his father is in the best medical care and tomorrow before they realize he will be fine. They all left in Ken’s car and within a short time, they arrived at the hospital. Only Sally was allowed to visit Parker and since he was in a life support machine she held his hand and talked to Parker. Sally told him, “don’t you dare leave me Parker I need you now more than ever. You were going to retire and nobody will ever disturb you. Jack’s family has been dealt with by our son-in-law and you are soon going to be a granddad. Remember you promised me that after retiring we will tour the world. Parker you have to fulfill that promise it's our time to explore our future is secured and I am happy my daughter has gotten a very responsible husband. Parker, you have to give her away on her wedding which is a few months to come to promise me my darling, we are through the storm, Sally said tears streaming from her eyes. The unexpected happened Parker squeezed Sally’s hand like he was agreeing to all that Sally told him then the alarm bell rang and all the medical personnel rushed to the bed. One nurse took Sally out and they realized he was breathing on his own and did not need a life support machine. He asked for his wife and Sally was called back to the ward now although he was staining a bit in his breathing he could say a few words. He held Sally’s hand and told her, “I heard all that you told me I am not going anywhere and we are going for the trip. Tell Jimmy to take good care of my baby girl I want many grandchildren running up and down that made Sally who was crying smile in tears. She answered I had gone to the chapel and asked God to spare you and this is the best miracle that I have ever received can’t wait to inform the others that you are out of the woods, God is surely a miracle worker she almost screamed with excitement. The doctor noted her excitement and told her Mrs. Parker we request you to maintain silence because the patients here are venerable. We however request you come tomorrow we will have transferred him to the normal ward. Continue saying your prayers and Mr. Parker will be well again and back on his feet.

Sally held their breath when she was leaving the ward but when she found the rest of the family waiting for her anxiously she could not help but exclaim Yes! And everyone became confused they were expecting she would come back crying but it was the opposite. They all were dumbfounded and the anxious ones asked what? Sally said Parker has woken up we have even talked with him tomorrow he’ll be transferred to the normal ward. They will keep him tonight for observation in the High dependent unit but transfer him in the morning. The doctor sedated him to sleep because he needs rest and said we can go home we will see him tomorrow in the normal ward. Sally then said to everybody thank you guys for coming. Mr. King said that’s what friends are for they all boarded their respective vehicles and went back to their residence to sleep at least there was good news and they could sleep in peace knowing that Mr. Parker is out of danger. Jimmy had to carry his fiancée from the car because she was fast asleep, I am telling you he was finding the whole pregnancy hormones strange but he swore to be patient after all it's been for a short time until the baby is born. By the time Lily was arriving home, she was in deep sleep and snoring which was music to Jimmy’s ears.
