LILY'S BABY SHOWER

Stacy noted that Lily was tired and needed to rest and since everybody else was having a drink and enjoying themselves thoroughly she suggested that Lily go and rest in the guest room she will be called when the time to go home was up. Everybody could see that she was already getting tired from sitting down. When she rested aunty Cherry asked if anybody knew how months pregnant Lily was Tina replied about six to seven months and if they knew the baby's sex they all said no then aunty Cherry grasped the idea when don’t we host a baby shower for Lily and let her know by then what sex it is. We need the assistance of Jimmy and the guys in organizing the surprise party for Lily before she gives birth. 

Then Tina remembered next Saturday was Lily's birthday why don’t we make the surprise party next Saturday since it is her birthday. We need to know the venue why don’t we call the men now so that we plan like now we are together? Everybody agreed with the idea and Stacy went and called the three younger men Lewis, Ken, and Jimmy. The older men were told they can relax they will be updated later.

When they joined the ladies Aunty Cherry is the one who talked about her surprise baby shower the following Saturday since it was Lily’s birthday and they needed to host it when she is not very tired. Jimmy was pleased with the idea because it will get her busy and the baby shower will bring joy to her life she has been so dull because of the pregnancy. Jimmy was asked if they knew the baby’s sex they said no but they were visiting the gynecologist tomorrow. It was agreed that he learns of the sex and informs Stacy or Tina who were the organizers so they can choose the color theme of the baby shower. That was easy for him because he just had to alert the doctor not to reveal the child’s sex in front of Lily.

The meeting was adjourned but everybody had a part to play and since it was meant to be a private party only for family members no outsiders it was easy to organize. The following day after Jimmy learned about the baby's sex he called Tina and informed her it was a baby girl. Tina was excited and formed a chat group where they could communicate and organize the baby shower without Tina’s knowledge. Stacy proposed it to be done in her house because it was very difficult for Lily to think of visiting Stacy during the week but in her house, she will notice the strange movements, and also Tina’s house she might pop in like she was used to unannounced and the surprise won’t be realized.

The dress code was said to be white and pink for both ladies and gentlemen could be on white pants and shirts with pink ribbons tied on. They called the event organizer and were given the specifications of what was to be expected. Tina and Jimmy organized Lily’s dress Tina had already called her and informed her that she needed to take out a birthday treat for a spa and had already discussed it with Jimmy and he had no objection. She also sighted that they needed girls' time together and a body massage and also leg massage for Lily's swollen legs would be a relief. On that day Tina went and picked up Lily by nine in the morning Jimmy said he will personally pick her up because he needed to treat her to dinner. She never would have guessed what surprise they had for her before the day ends. Lily enjoyed the spa her body was tired and her legs which were swollen needed some pampering. Although Jimmy used to massage her from time to time the expertise of the aroma therapist was highly welcomed and the scent and fragrance of the oils were heavenly and relaxing. They did manicures and pedicures and the face was made up Tina insisted that after Jimmy was taking her out she needed to look cool. She then gave her the dress and said it was her birthday present and pink suited her when she went to protest the salonist joined Tina and both urged her to put on the pink dress it would look elegant and match her nails. The salonist also put some pink hair Crip on her and also Tina and Tina wore the white dress but joked she was feeling like gate-crushing Lily’s dinner because Ken had forgotten her. So when Jimmy appeared all Tina said was Jimmy “Thanks you are here today I am gate-crushing your dinner party since Ken doesn’t want to take me out for a treat”, Jimmy knew where that was coming from and welcome Tina but he said they will drop Tina at Stacy’s because Ken was waiting for her there.

They boarded Jimmy’s car and the girls were giggling in the back making Jimmy feel jealous of how close they were they didn’t even notice how soon they arrived at the house only to find Stacy waiting for them at the gate. She came to the car and said hi Jimmy you brought my girls please come in for a juice before anything else. Tina told Lily they go and Jimmy was left behind and when they opened the door the room was dark and then at once everybody said surprise. Wow, that shocked Lily she was not expecting anyone, and seeing people in the identical color of white and pink she was dumbfounded. Jimmy came and held her hand and told her not to get surprised it was both for her birthday and baby shower since very soon they would be welcoming a new member of the family.

Lily’s father and mother hugged her and directd her to the seat and she was amazed to see the adorable baby shower theme of pink. There was a pink backdrop and also pink table clothes and a pink ruffled curtain emphasizing today’s theme.

A glass of pink lemonade with white and pink straw was served and a plate of pink candies, pink coated chocolates, a pink cake with white and silver icing in the middle of the table with a glass bottle of pink and white marshmallows and packed pink gift packs and there were pink plastic cups, spoons, forks emphasizing the day's theme.

Later Jimmy came took Lily by her hand and after giving the speech thanking all for the pleasant surprise of his wife threw up a pink balloon and told her to burst it and she will get her gift which she gladly did and a beautiful embroidery in pink and silver was written it’s a baby girl. That’s when it dawned on Lily what all was for and she was overjoyed for the pleasant surprise. They spent the evening together having fun until the late hours of the evening when everybody left on their own and Lily that night slept with a very happy lady.
