It was around seven in the evening when we arrived back home. Both Evan and Zoey were already asleep tired of playing and running everywhere.

Wade unlocked the door with his other hand while carrying Evan on the other. Meanwhile, I was carrying Zoey in my arms.

We went straight to the room to put the twins to bed.

“Can I talk to you after?” he began, placing Evan down the mattress.

I looked up at him with curiosity filling me. But without even waiting for my response, he immediately headed out.

Planting quick kisses on their foreheads, I as well leave the room after making sure they are comfortably tucked in.

Upon walking out of the room, I found Wade walking back and forth through the living room as if he was anxious about something.
