95. Has As Much Right

April's POV

I woke up the next day, and I looked at my phone. My screen was still blank; there were still no calls or texts from Dorian. I took a deep breath and decided to check Dorian's room again, but it was still empty, and his bed was still icy cold.

He hadn't come back yesterday, either.

I was trying my best not to worry, but it became harder every second.

He had to be back by today. At least by evening, even if he had to make stops on the way.

I didn't have anything to do, so I decided to dress for school. I wanted to stay home and wait for Dorian; the previous day's attack made it unsafe to go out.

I weighed my options and desperately wanted to stay home. I wanted to check Susan's room for Stacie's pictures, but it occurred to me that she wasn't going to leave until evening.

There was no way I would put up looking at her sour face all day.

I sighed in defeat; school it was.
