99. Save Me Princess

April's POV

I woke up as early as possible the next morning and checked around the house for Dorian, but there was still no sign of him. I looked out of my window and surveyed the parking lot for his car, but it wasn't there.

I dashed back to my room, picked up my phone, and dialled Ivar.

“Please let him pick, and please let him have good news for me,” I silently prayed.

The line connected, and Ivar's voice filled the speaker of my phone.

“Good morning, April. Why are you calling so early?”

“I am so sorry to disturb you, but I wanted to know if you have any news of Dorian's whereabouts yet.”

I had my fingers crossed the entire time, but it was all pointless because Ivar said he hadn't gotten anything about Dorian yet, and he did try to call him last night before he went to bed.

"I did ask the men at the border to keep an eye out for him, and I am very sure that if they see something, we will be the first to know.”
