I stared at the leader, confused as my heart raced faster than anything. “You want us to compete with each other to save the same person? Why would we do that? We’re going to save the same person, why do you want us to fight with each other?” I asked him, and he chuckled as he walked closer to Layla.

“Tell me, does it sound good to you? You can kill each other just to get the leaf, isn’t that a good one? All I know is that one person must return with the leaf and I’m eager to see who that will be.” He said, and staring at this man, I couldn’t help but assume one thing~ he wasn’t loved when he was growing up.

“It does.” Layla told him, squealing as she turned to me, and my jaw dropped in shock as I stared at her. She had to be joking, she couldn’t be serious about this.

“Layla, you’re joking about this, aren’t you? We’re here to save the alpha, why would you want to kill me when we’re supposed to be working together?” I asked her, and she chuckled as she patted my shoulder
