I noticed Grandma’s hand was smeared with red makeup!

Felix looked stunned. He glanced at Xena’s face, now a mess of smeared red and white, making her look like a startled raccoon.

I watched Felix’s expression shift from anger to confusion and back again.

I couldn’t help but think, “Looks like Xena’s makeup isn’t as high-quality as she thought!”

Grandma rubbed her hands together and sneered, “Trying to use my old tricks against me? You don’t even know who you’re up against!”

“Xena!” Felix, now furious, stormed over.

He had felt a bit guilty toward her before, but that had vanished in an instant. He grabbed a handful of Xena’s hair, yanking her head back, and warned.

“From now on, you’ll take care of the baby properly! No more of your nonsense!

“Or I’ll divorce you on the spot, and you’ll have to pay back every cent you’ve spent from my family all these years!

“Do you understand?”

Xena nodded blankly.
