Chapter 3; Have you drugged him?
The handsome little boy rushed in his school uniform holding his backpack. He was the mini version of his father except for his caramel-colored hair and striking blue eyes.Elton hugged his father's leg " Good morning Dad."
Placing a hand on the boy's back, Aiden's face lit with joy "Good morning Eldon. How was your night?"
The little lad shrugged and then took his father's hand "It was good. I have something to show you."
They sat on the bed. The little lad's curious eyes assessed the environment. He wrinkled his nose at the scattered bed, clothes on the floor, and strange smell in the room.
At this point, it did not matter. He was rather nervous about his upcoming recital. Eldon wiped his face with the back of his hand. After rummaging his backpack he brought out a green paper, " Dad, this is my recital. Our teacher said we should write about our favorite parent."
Pride warmed his chest at the paragraph his son wrote. At about five years old, Eldon had a high IQ and was the topper of his class. Plus, he could spell too. Which was beyond impressive for children his age.
" What has my boy written?"
Suddenly shy,Eldon hid the paper behind his back "Emm... don't be angry with me "
"Why would I be?" he asked, amused by his son's shyness which he had clearly inherited from his mother,Elsie.
Eldon nibbled on his lower lip, his gaze stuck on the marble floor "I wrote about Mommy."
Aiden's expression remained gentle and understanding. " That's wonderful.I am not upset at all. "
Pursing his lips, Eldon slowly perked up again "But I know you love me and mom hates me. Still, I love her very much and I want to show her through my recital that I love her. "
In the bathroom, listened with a sharp pain in her heart. Her lips trembled. Did her boy think she hated him?
In her last life, she was quite distant from him because she wanted to make Aiden divorce her quickly. Trix had convinced her. Sometimes when she was drunk she would take out her frustration on the child who was the spitting image of her father.
In all, she was a bad mom. How could the boy not think this?
To her surprise, Aiden did not blame her. Chuckling softly, he remarked "Your mom does not hate your champ. I told you she is sad and needs to figure out some things. Then she would be a good mother to you "
"Did she ever love me?" he asked in worry playing with his fingers with lowered eyes. His bright eyes are now red with unshed tears.
It broke his parent's hearts.
Pulling his son into an embrace, Aiden comforted in a soothing voice "Of course, she loved you from the moment she found out she had you in her tummy. She loved you. You are her pride, she tells all her friends about you. When you were born she carried you out everywhere. You just can't remember. "
Stunned, Elsie blinked her tears away. Was this man real? He understood her so well.
What happened was that Aiden was betrothed to Trickson Dale.
After Elsie's mother saved the life of Aiden's grandpa, as a way for him to show his gratitude he got them engaged.Obviously, Trickson hated her because of since she loved Aiden.
Upon meeting, Aiden and Elsie had no interest in each other at least that was what she thought. Aiden inheritance forced him into the marriage while Elsie did it to fulfill her mom's last wishes. Both went into an agreement to separate after a year on the basis of irreconcilable differences.
One thing led to another on a New Year's night, and they ended up consummating their marriage. A few months later, she found she was pregnant. Although she did not want him, she loved Eldon and fell for Aiden at the same time. Until Trix came in with her lies and scheming.
As he grew up, Elsie would take pictures of her son daily and bring him everywhere. She could not stop telling people about her son. Until Trix told her to pretend to hate her son so Aiden would throw her out of the house. Unfortunately, no matter what she die Aiden never agreed for divorce.
' The past me was so stupid and I treated my biological son badly. I will do better in this life. ' she thought.
"Really?" Eldon's head jerked up in surprise. An infinite smile spread on his lips.
He mirrored his son's smile and nodded "Of course. She loves you so much."
Suddenly, his past interactions with his mother came up and it made him sad. His shoulders slumped and he implored "If so why does she always scold me and sometimes tell me to get away? Mommy is always in her room the whole day and never joins us for breakfast or cooks for us as my friend's mommy does. It's like she hates us. ''
At this moment, Aiden's jaw ticked. He recalled all the moments in the last where her son cried because of his very own mother. It made him clench the sheet in his fist. Tying chains over his emotions, he spoke in a soft voice "Bud, I told you that your mom is in grief. She lost her mother and is sad."
' Mourning my mother? Hah! My mom died when I was seventeen. ' she sighed inwardly.
The little boy sighed,"I understand, but it feels like I'm losing her. I really miss Mom. "
"She misses you too. " Aiden replied, placing a kiss on his forehead.
A squeaky sound sounded in Aiden's ears he looked towards the bathroom to find his wife watching them. His eyes darkened, and he told his son '' Your mother will attend your recital."
"Really? Mom has never come to my school. What if she gets lost?"
" We will come together. " Aiden assured in a firm tone. It was decided Elsie must attend this recital. Even if it meant in exchange for the favor she needed or he would drag her there himself.
Eldon's eyes lit up and he shot his arms in the air in celebration. He hugged his Father tightly "Yay. Thank you, dad. You are the best!!! "
"You are welcome." Aiden smiled back at the boy. He was not the type to smile a lot however he found himself doing a lot around his wife and son. They were his world.
In the bathroom, Elsie looked around desperately for something to wear. They stayed in separate rooms so none of her things were here. From the corner of her eyes, she found a blue shirt. Quickly, she wore it. She was very excited to see her son.
Abruptly, the kid asked inspecting the room '' Dad, why is your room so messy? It is never messy."
" Ahh. Dad was searching for a very important file," he answered calmly. Glancing at his watch, Aiden picked up his phone and his son in the other hand " Come on. You need to get to school."
"Ok Dad." he smiled unrestrainedly.
" Eldon Sweetie," Unfortunately, by the time she walked out they were gone. Her smile collapsed. "Where have they gone? "
Over her head, she peered at the vintage wind-up clock mounted on the wall. It was the same one she gifted him when they officially met. It was embarrassing. Elsie was bad at giving gifts. It made her smile though " I guess they have gone to school, it is time. I will speak to him later then. First I have to deal with ___"
Her words were but shirt by the sudden ring of her phone. She walked over to the window sill where she had left it. It felt strange in her hands for technology changed so much in the future. New phones were transparent and weightless. The contact name ram through ' Trixson Sis'
Reading it, made her blood boil. This evil woman who had multiple men rape her for over ten years. She wished to rip her into pieces. However, it was not the same choice. In this life, she would make them regret being bone.
For sure.
"Hello," she answered skeptically, not sure why Trix was calling.
A small voice rang from the other side. It sounded so innocent and pure it could melt away everyone's hearts " Elsie? Is that you?"
' In the flesh!' Elsie thought, gnashing her teeth.
Although her temper had been ignited, Elsie managed to breathe out and reply in a similar tone "Yes, big Sis. Why are you calling ?"
"Why?!" The once calm voice raised in unrestrained anger. Her true colors reared out its head. Realizing she slipped up, Trixson Dale began to cough " My cough is getting worse, I need to see an ENT doctor. Have you forgotten? Henry Rowan is in the district hospital due to an accident. You need to rush there with the bill. Have you drugged Aiden yet? "
Instantly,Elsie's eyes widened.
Chapter 4: I will find you '' Have you forgotten? Henry Rowan is in the district hospital due to accident. You need to rush there with the bill. Have you drugged Aiden yet?" Instantly, Elsie's eyes widened. Trixson Dale's words jogged her memory. She now recalled why she came to this room. Trixson Dale had called in the afternoon and informed her about Henry Rowan's motorcycle accident. She spent the day crying and praying due to the tight security at the mansion. Later in the evening, a package arrived addressed to her; it was a white bottle containing white powder. Trix told her to make sure Aiden had it so it would knock him out and she could hack his security from his phone and escape. However, she mixed things up and ended up drinking the wine meant for him. It made her lose control, and she initiated everything from there on. Even though he pushed her away, Elsie forced herself on him until he gave in. Thinking about this, she became very flustered. Her ears
Chapter 5; He is not my boyfriend Aiden Scott trembled with anger, struggling to maintain a straight face. This woman had an ability to provoke him. Earlier that morning, she had made countless promises, only to break them within hours. Was this her plan all along? To seduce him into lowering the security at their home, only to sneak off to meet her lover? It was shameless, using her body to manipulate him. To add insult to hurt, she had even dressed up and put on makeup to meet him, as if to mock his foolishness. The pain cut deep. He couldn't deny that his decision to force this marriage upon her, due to Eldon, had been selfish. It was wrong to confine her to their home against her will. But he loved her, deeply. Yet, it was becoming increasingly clear that no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't make her love him in return. Suppressing the pain in his heart, Aiden composed himself, turned to his assistant, and instructed, "Call the residence. Inform the guards
Chapter 6; Soul black as Coal "Trixson Dale," an unknown voice called from behind. Trixson turned out of habit. Her eyes widened at the number of cameras flashing at her. It was the paparazzi. It can't be! She had not called them yet. She had not even made her planned phone call to Aiden Scott yet. No, no! "What can you say about the news spreading about you online?" A journalist began, pushing forward a recording device. Others fixing the lightening of the cameras, or jotting down. They had received a big tip to cover one of the biggest scandal in the entertainment world. "What?" Confusion took over her delicate features. Her chest rose and fell continuously. Subconsciously , she clutched her pink Louis Vuitton sheath dress. What news? It made her scared. Did they see her with Henry Rowan? That imbécile! It would ruin her career if she was caught with such a man. It made her panic. Sweat formed around her fringe bangs. More lights flash, as they continued "Are
Chapter 7; I will clear your name Inside the luxurious BMW, Boris tended to Trix with utmost care and devotion as she laid on the lush black leather seat that enveloped her form. Though a muscled figure, Boris gentle touch and worshipping green eyes betrayed the softness within. As he dabbed her porcelain skin with the finest silk, he could not help but admire her stunning, effortless beauty. His only wish was to ease her pain. She was indeed perfect. Suddenly, he heard her breath out softly as she faked regaining consciousness. "Miss Dale, are you awake?" Fluttering her eyes open, she put on a pitiful look and pretended to be weak. She begged, "Water, please give me water" "I will." In the most gentle actions he fed her water. Trixson took three sips before bopping her head to signal denial. If she talked less, Boris would believe her act. "Those reporters are so heartless! They kept up pestering you didn't they noticed your pale face. Who told the
Chapter 8; You don't deserve me! "We are here, ma'am," Jerry reminded Elsie, who seemed lost for a moment. She shook her head at his words and made a weird sound. The truth was, Elsie was no longer present in the car but rather in the past. For she remembered the first time she visited this place. Her heart sunk. Flashback ___ Four years ago That day, crimson and rose blossoms dotted the eastern edge, bursting forth like branches heavy with ripe cherries. In her bedroom, Elsie sang nursery rhymes as she bathed her little boy. A joyful smile sprang to her lips at his every smile. "You are so good looking, my son. You took all your features from your dad while I did all the work," she pretended to be upset, pouting as she poured warm water on his body to rinse him. By her side stood an elderly lady in what appeared to be a school uniform but was not. Wrinkles aged her, and a smile spread on her thin lips, it was Cavia "Not true, ma'am. Young maste
Chapter 9; I am his wife As they stepped out of the car, Elsie was a little hesitant. Everything she said and did during that time was all under Trickson's influence. Elsie felt wronged. Nevertheless, she was going to teach those two a great lesson they would never forget. Thinking about this brought a smile to her saddened face. As they passed through security, she realized how much things had changed. There was now a fountain at the center and beautiful trees planted around. Everything looked unfamiliar and strange. The company had grown to many heights after her last visit; it now spoke of so much wealth and hard work. One thing did not change though—the security was so tight that one could not sneak out even a needle. However, at one glance, she was recognized by one of the security guards and was sent in. Elsie was left in awe as she strolled in; it was incredibly busy. She had never seen people work at that speed, hence she hurried up her steps and tried
Chapter 10: I refuse to be bullied "What do you think you are doing?!!" A cold voice rang from behind. Seeing the man stroll over in such powerful strides, Sophia straightened out her clothing and put on a professional look. She became calm, "President, the lady is quite difficult. She only insists on seeing you. I told her you were in a meeting, but she later started to harass me, so I was only trying to defend myself." "Why are you allowing such people to bully you?" Assuming Aiden was talking to her, Sophia couldn't help but blush. She lowered her head and apologized, "President, I am sorry. I will refuse to be bullied next time. She even said she was your wife?" However, Elsie's next actions were like bullets raining at her heart and dreams. "Hubby!" Elsie dashed toward Aiden, stealing a short kiss from him. His pupils widened at her actions, making his suspicions rise; hence, he did not kiss her back. Even so, his possessiveness got over him, and he wrappe
Chapter 11; Why didn't you tell me in my past life? ### In the office, Elsie sat on the green couch with Aiden sitting on the glass table facing her. His expression was indecipherable and his lips thin. Elsie could not help but admire his well-chiseled jawline and beautiful grey eyes. There was something about his neatly combed golden brown hair and his level of neatness that was beyond her understanding. There was a single thing out of place. He was truly perfect. Too perfect for her. "Ouch!" Elsie hissed sharply as he cleaned the wound with normal saline. Not because it hurt, but rather to get his attention. As expected, his grey eyes found hers and they softened. He reduced his strength, wiping it with a dry swap, "You should have thought of the pain before letting that girl bully you." Pouting her lips, Elsie tried to pull her hand away but he stopped her. She feigned anger, "You aren't romantic at all. Other men have suggested kissing my wounds to make th

"Why do you think the witches attacked us yesterday?" Lyra inquired softly, her voice echoing in the marble halls, as she pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose. "What do you think?" Author's AppreciationI started writing this earlier without this novel being finished, because I wanted to say something from the heart and not rushed. That doesn't mean my other appreciations are not from the heart. They are!You see, I have never been good with words and not always known how to respond to messages, emails, and so on. I am a freaking walking disaster, a one-woman circus clown kind of show, but I say this with much confidence: when I read a book and I laugh hard, feel hate, dislike, and cringe at moments which genuinely become a part of me, even if just for a time - it fills in my heart. I am overwhelmed by such talent to aid me grapple with my own emotions and go over every scene. Feeling satisfied and still wishing for more. Looking at you, Ashley Peston, you perfect angelic wordsmith. And I want that to be the same feeling my readers get from
Epilogue Elsie's POV Six months later. I got a call from the prison, concerning Trixson's plea to have me visit her. I should have said no. However, I needed to hear what she wanted to say. Trixson had been sentenced with a double life sentence for the murders she had been involved in. Boris had been given ten years for being an accomplice in Henry's homicide. Trixson had Boris sneak into the rehab disguised as an operating nurse and provided him the drugs Henry overdosed on. After this, Boris' conscience could not bear the burden of the secret. Hence, he came to me. He had to, after I provided him photos of Trixson and Director Lee's affair. All that helped take off the rose-colored glasses he wore aroun
Chapter 137: I have you Aiden stepped out of the prison gate, blinking in the bright sunlight. He had dreamed of this moment for what felt like an eternity, and yet, it still felt surreal. He was finally free. As he looked around, his eyes scanned the crowded streets, searching for a familiar face. And then, he saw her. Elsie stood out from the crowd, her flaming red hair shining like a flame. She wore a bright smile, and her eyes sparkled with tears, as she waved at him. Aiden's heart skipped a beat as he made his way towards her. Elsie still looked as beautiful as she did the first time he saw her at the Scott mansion. She wore a knee-length red dress that clung to her skin, exposing her heavy curves. As a result of the pregnancy, Elsie had gained weight, and her chest and ass had grown bigger too. She was
Chapter 136: Prison Life Aiden's POV The courtroom had been filled with a sense of tension and anticipation. The judge, a middle-aged woman with a stern expression, sat at the bench. I stood before her, my eyes fixed on Elsie, who had been crying non-stop. The prosecutor stood opposite me, arms crossed. The judge announced, "After careful consideration of the evidence and the severity of the crime, I hereby sentence you to 7 years in prison for withholding information and obstruction of justice in relation to the double homicide case." My eyes had widened for a brief moment, but I accepted the sentence with a nod. I knew I deserved this punishment for my actions. The judge continued, "While I acknowledge your cooperation with the authorities and your expression o
Chapter 135; Promise me Two months later. On the day of Aiden's trial, after he had refused to file for bail, Elsie kept Eldon entertained by playing Legos when Aunt Rina walked in. The little lad ran to hug Rina, and she kissed him on the cheek. "Aunt Rina, where have you been? I've missed you," he exclaimed, his dimples creeping up as he smiled. Leaning in, she explained in a sweet voice, "I was busy, boy. But I'm back now..." Elsie, leaning against the counter in the kitchen, found their encounter very cute. She sometimes envied Eldon's relationship with Rina. A huge grin curled up on Eldon's lips, and he raised his arms, shouting out of ecstasy, "Yay, we'll all play together!" "We will," Rina confirmed, nodding her head. She reached out to touch the boy's cheek and pinched it fondly. "You should go to your room and wait for me there while I talk to your mom." The kid threw his arms up in happiness, spread them wide like wings, and ran out, making plane
