Chapter 6; Soul black as Coal
"Trixson Dale," an unknown voice called from behind. Trixson turned out of habit. Her eyes widened at the number of cameras flashing at her.
It was the paparazzi. It can't be! She had not called them yet. She had not even made her planned phone call to Aiden Scott yet. No, no!
"What can you say about the news spreading about you online?" A journalist began, pushing forward a recording device. Others fixing the lightening of the cameras, or jotting down. They had received a big tip to cover one of the biggest scandal in the entertainment world.
"What?" Confusion took over her delicate features. Her chest rose and fell continuously. Subconsciously , she clutched her pink Louis Vuitton sheath dress.
What news? It made her scared. Did they see her with Henry Rowan? That imbécile! It would ruin her career if she was caught with such a man. It made her panic. Sweat formed around her fringe bangs.
More lights flash, as they continued "Are you and Henry Rowan in a relationship? Tell us now. Your fans are dying to know!"
Upon hearing, Trix almost died of shock. It was worse than she thought. They thought she was in a relationship with that drug addict? Oh no! She had to fix this. She glanced around in panic.
The camera flashed once more, the paparazzi pushing their recording devices forward. "Tell us! Leaked photos of you two together have gone viral in the entertainment world, and now you're with him at the hospital after his motorcycle accident. Wouldn't your relationship with such a man influence your young fans?"
"I..." she became tongue-tied. What could she say?
Saying the truth would only get her in trouble. She was the sweetheart of Hollywood, known for her innocent features, meekness and kind heart. Whereas,Henry was known to be a badass playboy who knew only how to party and spend money. She couldn't let them question her morals any further. Plus, they had photos for proof.
"Tell us, Miss Dale? We want to know!" one of the journalists continued to pester her.
Goosebumps filled her body as her heart raced in fear. This could end her career. She had to say something. "No. It's not true! Henry is not... I mean, I don't know him."
"What a lie, Miss Dale. Netizens are aware of your relationship with him. And now you lie?"
"I mean, I do know him." She replied softly, feeling fat sweats gather on her back.
"So you do know the youngest and playboy son of the Roman family. What is your relationship with him?"
She was choking with rage and yelled, "He is not my boyfriend. He actually is..."
This made them angrier. They did not expect such a response from this innocent-looking girl. "Are you going to lie again, Miss Dale? On TV? You won't be able to take any of your words back."
"Miss Dale, in an interview last week, you said you were single while you had a secret relationship with Henry Rowan?"
Trix shook her head ferociously. "Isn't he the fiancé of Judy Eddie?"
It was true, Henry Rowan did have a financée who was studying abroad. This definitely placed Trixson in a terrible light.
The questions kept coming at her like bullets. She looked around in panic, searching for an escape. At this point, she couldn't think of a single way out. Scratching her eyebrows, she stammered, "Um..."
"Tell us, Miss Dale!" Mocked Elsie happily as she watched this scene.
"We want to know!"
The blinding lights of the cameras flashed once more taking photos of Trixson broken expression. This could not be happening. She had planned everything perfectly. How did this happen?
Why did her genius plan fail?
She was going to call Aiden Scott and send him photos of his wife cheating which will hästen their divorce. But now, she was helpless.
The crowd was getting louder and causing her a great turmoil. She scanned the environment for someone who could help and spotted Elsie.
A flicker of hope ignited within her.
That was right, if she called Elsie then she would have a way out. Elsie was always so proud of her relationship with Henry Rowan and she would not deny the facts to anyone not even the paparazzi. It would rather make her glad because it would fasten the divorce then Aiden would be all hers.
After all, Elsie stole him from her.
Unfortunately,as swiftly as the thought came,it vanished. Elsie had disappeared back into the dark recesses of the building. Trixson's full red lips twisted in frustration, perfectly manicured fingers balling into a fist.
' What now? Where did that foolish woman go to? '
"Miss Dale are you going to ask for a lawyer before saying anything?" A female reporter mocked, pressing her lips together to avoid cracking into laughter.
At this point, Trickson had taken note of this reporter, she looked quiet familiar. She would deal the reporter later.
" I am only want to say ....ah ah "
Putting on a show, Trix grabbed her head, twisting her face like one in pain before loosing consciousness into the arms of Boris, her driver and bodyguard.
Boris was a hefty fellow with auburn hair and bright green eyes. He carried her in a bridal style and threatened the reporters " If anything happened to Miss Dale. I will have all of you sued!"
In an instant, they brought down their microphones and caméras. Their publication could fire then for this. Plus, Trickson Dale wasn't just anyone. She was a woman from a powerful background.
Pushing his way into the crowd, he carried her into BMW parked in the parking lot.
On her way out of the bathroom, Elsie spotted Boris Smith carrying Trixson, bile ran up her throat. Boris had been in love with Trixson Dale eversince highschool but she never paid him any attention rather took advantage of his love. She made him her personal driver and bodyguard with barely a salary.
In one of Trix's project there was an earthquake and he took the fall for her. Even so, on his burial she attended the premier of the movie instead of saying her final goodbye. It was during this period, she realized how heartless Trixson was. Unfortunately, it was too late. Everything had been taken away from her.
"She has such an angelic face but her soul is as black as coal. " Elsie sneered.
Chapter 7; I will clear your name Inside the luxurious BMW, Boris tended to Trix with utmost care and devotion as she laid on the lush black leather seat that enveloped her form. Though a muscled figure, Boris gentle touch and worshipping green eyes betrayed the softness within. As he dabbed her porcelain skin with the finest silk, he could not help but admire her stunning, effortless beauty. His only wish was to ease her pain. She was indeed perfect. Suddenly, he heard her breath out softly as she faked regaining consciousness. "Miss Dale, are you awake?" Fluttering her eyes open, she put on a pitiful look and pretended to be weak. She begged, "Water, please give me water" "I will." In the most gentle actions he fed her water. Trixson took three sips before bopping her head to signal denial. If she talked less, Boris would believe her act. "Those reporters are so heartless! They kept up pestering you didn't they noticed your pale face. Who told the
Chapter 8; You don't deserve me! "We are here, ma'am," Jerry reminded Elsie, who seemed lost for a moment. She shook her head at his words and made a weird sound. The truth was, Elsie was no longer present in the car but rather in the past. For she remembered the first time she visited this place. Her heart sunk. Flashback ___ Four years ago That day, crimson and rose blossoms dotted the eastern edge, bursting forth like branches heavy with ripe cherries. In her bedroom, Elsie sang nursery rhymes as she bathed her little boy. A joyful smile sprang to her lips at his every smile. "You are so good looking, my son. You took all your features from your dad while I did all the work," she pretended to be upset, pouting as she poured warm water on his body to rinse him. By her side stood an elderly lady in what appeared to be a school uniform but was not. Wrinkles aged her, and a smile spread on her thin lips, it was Cavia "Not true, ma'am. Young maste
Chapter 9; I am his wife As they stepped out of the car, Elsie was a little hesitant. Everything she said and did during that time was all under Trickson's influence. Elsie felt wronged. Nevertheless, she was going to teach those two a great lesson they would never forget. Thinking about this brought a smile to her saddened face. As they passed through security, she realized how much things had changed. There was now a fountain at the center and beautiful trees planted around. Everything looked unfamiliar and strange. The company had grown to many heights after her last visit; it now spoke of so much wealth and hard work. One thing did not change though—the security was so tight that one could not sneak out even a needle. However, at one glance, she was recognized by one of the security guards and was sent in. Elsie was left in awe as she strolled in; it was incredibly busy. She had never seen people work at that speed, hence she hurried up her steps and tried
Chapter 10: I refuse to be bullied "What do you think you are doing?!!" A cold voice rang from behind. Seeing the man stroll over in such powerful strides, Sophia straightened out her clothing and put on a professional look. She became calm, "President, the lady is quite difficult. She only insists on seeing you. I told her you were in a meeting, but she later started to harass me, so I was only trying to defend myself." "Why are you allowing such people to bully you?" Assuming Aiden was talking to her, Sophia couldn't help but blush. She lowered her head and apologized, "President, I am sorry. I will refuse to be bullied next time. She even said she was your wife?" However, Elsie's next actions were like bullets raining at her heart and dreams. "Hubby!" Elsie dashed toward Aiden, stealing a short kiss from him. His pupils widened at her actions, making his suspicions rise; hence, he did not kiss her back. Even so, his possessiveness got over him, and he wrappe
Chapter 11; Why didn't you tell me in my past life? ### In the office, Elsie sat on the green couch with Aiden sitting on the glass table facing her. His expression was indecipherable and his lips thin. Elsie could not help but admire his well-chiseled jawline and beautiful grey eyes. There was something about his neatly combed golden brown hair and his level of neatness that was beyond her understanding. There was a single thing out of place. He was truly perfect. Too perfect for her. "Ouch!" Elsie hissed sharply as he cleaned the wound with normal saline. Not because it hurt, but rather to get his attention. As expected, his grey eyes found hers and they softened. He reduced his strength, wiping it with a dry swap, "You should have thought of the pain before letting that girl bully you." Pouting her lips, Elsie tried to pull her hand away but he stopped her. She feigned anger, "You aren't romantic at all. Other men have suggested kissing my wounds to make th
Chapter 12: I am not satisfied yet Joseph Lawrence was efficient. He planned the entire schedule perfectly, with each board meeting leading to another with little breaks in between. Everyone found it exhausting, and they all secretly cursed the woman behind this change. Meanwhile, Aiden Scott sat wearing a cold expression on his face, listening attentively to what was said and even adding suggestions. He seemed to be in a better mood than before. The temperature in the room was now favorable for them to breathe. Could her presence be the reason for his change? Joseph shook his head sadly; the president had a witness, and it was that flirtatious and shameless woman. In his inward rant, he blurted out, "The president has bad taste!" "What did you say?" Aiden questioned icily. "Nothing. I meant this presentation... it is not up to your taste. Your usual taste is one of a kind," he mumbled, scratching his jaw. The look on Aiden's face was too frightful;
Chapter 13: I Promise to Work Hard "Why? I am not satisfied yet," his gruff voice pierced through the silence, as he pinned her to the bed. "..." Elsie's cheeks turned pink in an instant. Suddenly, she was tongue-tied. They were in the office, not at home. How could they do this? She nervously licked her lips. "No, Aiden, we should not--" "We should not what?" Slowly, he positioned open-mouthed kisses, trailing along the outline of her diamond-shaped face. Although he was barely doing anything, Elsie's heart pounded hard with every movement. She swallowed a moan as he bit a sensitive part of her neck. She pleaded, "In the office, it is unprofessional, and I don't think you are an unprofessional man. What will your employees think?" "You deny me?" His force grew stronger, his grey eyes filled with desire. Immediately, she froze at his accusation. He was getting things wrong. "No, no. My body and heart are all yours, but--" A light laugh escaped h
Chapter 14: Kiss me! "Good night," Elsie overheard Aiden's cold words as he made his way into the elevator, headed to his room. Normally, he would take the stairs for exercise, but his pending work made him choose the fastest route. Feeling a sense of disappointment, Elsie found nothing but an empty room when she arrived. Her shoulders slumped in disappointment, and she sighed to herself, "Elsie, you are too slow." Initially, she had wanted to go with him and try to rekindle their lost bond, which had lasted until she remembered her son. Instantly, her heart sank. She had indeed been too slow and had missed spending a day with her son. But she reassured herself that she would have tomorrow. Thinking about this, a smile tugged at her lips. She grabbed her purse, which she had left on the sofa, and headed for the East wing where Eldon's room was. Her every step palpitated her heart, and she wrung her hands nervously. It had been ages since she had visited his

Author's AppreciationI started writing this earlier without this novel being finished, because I wanted to say something from the heart and not rushed. That doesn't mean my other appreciations are not from the heart. They are!You see, I have never been good with words and not always known how to respond to messages, emails, and so on. I am a freaking walking disaster, a one-woman circus clown kind of show, but I say this with much confidence: when I read a book and I laugh hard, feel hate, dislike, and cringe at moments which genuinely become a part of me, even if just for a time - it fills in my heart. I am overwhelmed by such talent to aid me grapple with my own emotions and go over every scene. Feeling satisfied and still wishing for more. Looking at you, Ashley Peston, you perfect angelic wordsmith. And I want that to be the same feeling my readers get from
Epilogue Elsie's POV Six months later. I got a call from the prison, concerning Trixson's plea to have me visit her. I should have said no. However, I needed to hear what she wanted to say. Trixson had been sentenced with a double life sentence for the murders she had been involved in. Boris had been given ten years for being an accomplice in Henry's homicide. Trixson had Boris sneak into the rehab disguised as an operating nurse and provided him the drugs Henry overdosed on. After this, Boris' conscience could not bear the burden of the secret. Hence, he came to me. He had to, after I provided him photos of Trixson and Director Lee's affair. All that helped take off the rose-colored glasses he wore aroun
Chapter 137: I have you Aiden stepped out of the prison gate, blinking in the bright sunlight. He had dreamed of this moment for what felt like an eternity, and yet, it still felt surreal. He was finally free. As he looked around, his eyes scanned the crowded streets, searching for a familiar face. And then, he saw her. Elsie stood out from the crowd, her flaming red hair shining like a flame. She wore a bright smile, and her eyes sparkled with tears, as she waved at him. Aiden's heart skipped a beat as he made his way towards her. Elsie still looked as beautiful as she did the first time he saw her at the Scott mansion. She wore a knee-length red dress that clung to her skin, exposing her heavy curves. As a result of the pregnancy, Elsie had gained weight, and her chest and ass had grown bigger too. She was
Chapter 136: Prison Life Aiden's POV The courtroom had been filled with a sense of tension and anticipation. The judge, a middle-aged woman with a stern expression, sat at the bench. I stood before her, my eyes fixed on Elsie, who had been crying non-stop. The prosecutor stood opposite me, arms crossed. The judge announced, "After careful consideration of the evidence and the severity of the crime, I hereby sentence you to 7 years in prison for withholding information and obstruction of justice in relation to the double homicide case." My eyes had widened for a brief moment, but I accepted the sentence with a nod. I knew I deserved this punishment for my actions. The judge continued, "While I acknowledge your cooperation with the authorities and your expression o
Chapter 135; Promise me Two months later. On the day of Aiden's trial, after he had refused to file for bail, Elsie kept Eldon entertained by playing Legos when Aunt Rina walked in. The little lad ran to hug Rina, and she kissed him on the cheek. "Aunt Rina, where have you been? I've missed you," he exclaimed, his dimples creeping up as he smiled. Leaning in, she explained in a sweet voice, "I was busy, boy. But I'm back now..." Elsie, leaning against the counter in the kitchen, found their encounter very cute. She sometimes envied Eldon's relationship with Rina. A huge grin curled up on Eldon's lips, and he raised his arms, shouting out of ecstasy, "Yay, we'll all play together!" "We will," Rina confirmed, nodding her head. She reached out to touch the boy's cheek and pinched it fondly. "You should go to your room and wait for me there while I talk to your mom." The kid threw his arms up in happiness, spread them wide like wings, and ran out, making plane
