Chapter 4: I will find you
'' Have you forgotten? Henry Rowan is in the district hospital due to accident. You need to rush there with the bill. Have you drugged Aiden yet?"
Instantly, Elsie's eyes widened.
Trixson Dale's words jogged her memory. She now recalled why she came to this room. Trixson Dale had called in the afternoon and informed her about Henry Rowan's motorcycle accident. She spent the day crying and praying due to the tight security at the mansion. Later in the evening, a package arrived addressed to her; it was a white bottle containing white powder. Trix told her to make sure Aiden had it so it would knock him out and she could hack his security from his phone and escape.
However, she mixed things up and ended up drinking the wine meant for him. It made her lose control, and she initiated everything from there on. Even though he pushed her away, Elsie forced herself on him until he gave in.
Thinking about this, she became very flustered. Her ears began to itch as their previous deeds played in her mind. She had even forgotten that she was on the phone till she heard Trixson Dale ask, "He didn't force himself on you, did he? That bastard!"
"Why would the sedative you made me give him force himself on me? It was sedative, right?" she asked skeptically.
It had not crossed her mind that she might have been drugged by Trix. No wonder in her past life, she was stupefied to find herself in Aiden's bed afterward.
Instead of admitting it, Trix denied it in a sincere tone: "Nothing. I am just asking because he did it before during New Year's Eve and got you pregnant. I hope you are still on pills in case he rapes you again. We don't want another mistake.''
Elsie's jaw ticked. Her son was not a mistake!
Something clicked in Elsie's mind. She realized that Trixson must have drugged her too on New Year's Eve. No wonder she found it hard to remember what happened. Only to be convinced that Aiden drugged her and took advantage of her unconsciousness. Her mouth was set with guilt over all the horrible names and words she said to him over the years.
This made me defend him from the true monster. "He won't do that. At least he gets my permission every time."
''Every time? '' Trixson almost choked on jealousy on the other side. Her face turned green with envy.
She feigned disappointment. "What? Don't tell me you have been sleeping with that rapist and beast! Remember, he got you pregnant, violated your agreement, and then kept you a prisoner in his house. Please don't give him the things that belong to Henry Rowan. Henry Rowan is your true love."
Hearing this, Elsie wanted to roll on the floor in laughter. She clasped her palm to her mouth, stifling her laugh.
Henry Rowan? Her true love?
' That monster's only true love is his weed and sadism,' she thought, glaring at her phone.
After a while, her anger calmed down, and she replied firmly, "I won't."
"So is he sleeping? ''
"Yes. " She confirmed that peeking back at the bed, her cheeks became rosy.
"Can I see?"
' Why do I hear yearning in her voice? ' What? This woman was shameless. '
Elsie smiled bitterly as she went over to clean up the mess. "No. He is shirtless."
"Why is he shirtless? ''
This time it sounded pained. It made Elsie happy.
Sadly, in her past life, She did something awful that put her son's life in danger, which was all planned by Trixson. This made Aiden sign the divorce papers. Shockingly, on the next day, she heard the news that Trixson had forced her way into Aiden's bed, but he pushed and humiliated her. It made her realize Trixson's love for Aiden.
At the time, she would get jealous whenever his name popped up on TV with a celebrity. Too bad she thought it was Stockholm syndrome and not love.
"I don't know. He loves sleeping naked," she retorted nonchalantly, knowing full well it would piss Trix.
"..."
There was silence for some time. Elsie knew, and Trix was sulking silently.
"Hello?"
"Yeah, I mean, come to the hospital with the money." She spoke in a choked-up voice. Then she began to cough.
This lady and her silly tricks!
' I am not your breathing ATM bitch! '
Elsie frowned. "Why me? Why should I go and pay the bills? He is your best friend; you should help him out."
To say Trix was shocked to hear this was a huge understatement. Still, she pretended to not notice the sudden change in attitude. "I would, but I am on the set of 'An Eternal Sunshine.' You picked it, remember?''
Upon hearing this, Elsie scoffed secretly. Trixson was not just an actress; she was a great actress and had several brand deals. She could afford a few thousand for Henry Rowan.
"Wire me the money then." She waved her hand in dismissal.
"What kind of girlfriend are you? You are married to a multi-billionaire who is heir to more billions, and you're asking me, who barely has a net worth of five million dollars?"The anger in Trix's voice was apparent. In the past, Elsie was such a pushover that she would apologize right away. And everything Trix said afterward was without question.
"How should I get money from him?"
A long sigh was heard from the other side. She gritted her teeth. "Steal his black card or anything. Just come with it.''
The corners of her lips turned up, creating a decisive gleam in Elsie's eyes. She let out a barking laugh.
Inadvertently, her gaze found a picture of Aiden and Eldon at Christmas last year. She could be seen in the background, drinking like she loved to rather than being a good wife and mother.
A dull ache took over her heart. She touched the frame and made a promise: "In this life, I am going to shred your career and make your lives hell. And you, mystery woman, I will find you too."
Now to leave the mansion. She breathed out "the secret door." Elsie only found out about the door on the day she tried to elope with Henry during Eldon's sixth birthday celebration.
In an hour, she arrived at the district hospital in a cab. On her way in, she got a glance at her appearance; she wore a mini dress with a side slit. It was the least indecent clothing she could find, which did not have a deep plunging cleavage.
"I really wanted the divorce," she laughed without any hint of humor on her countenance. Her makeup was way too much, making her look like a comic.
Did the great Aiden Scott fall for this woman?
No.
He fell for the woman he married and continued to love the wife she became.
Sigh!
Looking around, she searched for a boutique where she could find some clothes. Clothes worthy of the Scott clan.
Luckily, after a five-minute search on her iPhone's map, She found it. Her appearance called for both customer's and workers' attention. Some laughed, and others pitied.
"Is this her face or that of a clown?"
"She looks like a slut. "
"A Hooker," an old, fat, greasy-looking man, whistled.
"Poor thing using what she got for money."
Without a care in the world, she sauntered to the first dress that caught her eye. It was an elegant white sundress that was knee-level. It had jasmine flowers adorning it. Her eyes caught another beautiful dress, and soon it became full-time shopping.
What was the hurry anyway?!
Later, she carried about four shopping bags to your counter. The lady there glared at her with displeasure. She sighed, "Another hooker. Probably sleeping with a rich man."
Still, the smile on Elsie's face did not waver.
After a while, she asked, "Credit or cash?"
"Credit," Elsie conceded, dipping her hand into her black-branded handbag. As she placed the card on the table, the woman's pupil enlarged. She ran a small boutique and had never seen a black card before.
Was it real? She swapped it, and it was real!
In an instant, her cold demeanor became a welcoming one. She laughed heartily. "Thank you, ma'am, for shopping with us. Make sure you come back."
It didn't take rocket science for Elsie to know the reason behind this lady's change of behavior. She glanced lazily at the name tag, "Maureen ?"
The lady grinned, stretching her hand for a tip "Yes, Ma'am."
To this, Elsie forced a smile. '' I am not sleeping with just a rich man; I am sleeping with the CEO of Scott Industries."
The lady's mouth fell open, and she stammered as she watched Elsie leave. "She is Mrs. Scott."
####
At the office, Aiden stood by the French windows, sipping down on his coffee, when his phone beeped. It was a credit alert at a boutique. A charge of a hundred thousand dollars. His eyes narrowed down, disappointment and hurt evident in his eyes. "So, this is the reason."
"Is that Mrs. Scott?" At his side, a young man in his early thirties pointed out the window. His eyes are saucers. He is Joseph Lawrence, his personal assistant.
In response, Aiden turned, a little smile dancing on his lips. Is she coming to see me?
Outside, Elsie looked around warily before she knocked at the hospital gate. She was wearing a white crossed back jumpsuit and styled her hair into a neat ponytail.
Frown lines appeared on his forehead, and he asked coldly, "Hospital? Who is admitted there?"
Joseph licked his lips. Nervously, he told the truth, "Um, is Mr. Rowan?"
Rowan!
Aiden crushed the coffee cup in his grasp, clearly enraged. "You have betrayed me again!"
.
Chapter 5; He is not my boyfriend Aiden Scott trembled with anger, struggling to maintain a straight face. This woman had an ability to provoke him. Earlier that morning, she had made countless promises, only to break them within hours. Was this her plan all along? To seduce him into lowering the security at their home, only to sneak off to meet her lover? It was shameless, using her body to manipulate him. To add insult to hurt, she had even dressed up and put on makeup to meet him, as if to mock his foolishness. The pain cut deep. He couldn't deny that his decision to force this marriage upon her, due to Eldon, had been selfish. It was wrong to confine her to their home against her will. But he loved her, deeply. Yet, it was becoming increasingly clear that no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't make her love him in return. Suppressing the pain in his heart, Aiden composed himself, turned to his assistant, and instructed, "Call the residence. Inform the guards
Chapter 6; Soul black as Coal "Trixson Dale," an unknown voice called from behind. Trixson turned out of habit. Her eyes widened at the number of cameras flashing at her. It was the paparazzi. It can't be! She had not called them yet. She had not even made her planned phone call to Aiden Scott yet. No, no! "What can you say about the news spreading about you online?" A journalist began, pushing forward a recording device. Others fixing the lightening of the cameras, or jotting down. They had received a big tip to cover one of the biggest scandal in the entertainment world. "What?" Confusion took over her delicate features. Her chest rose and fell continuously. Subconsciously , she clutched her pink Louis Vuitton sheath dress. What news? It made her scared. Did they see her with Henry Rowan? That imbécile! It would ruin her career if she was caught with such a man. It made her panic. Sweat formed around her fringe bangs. More lights flash, as they continued "Are
Chapter 7; I will clear your name Inside the luxurious BMW, Boris tended to Trix with utmost care and devotion as she laid on the lush black leather seat that enveloped her form. Though a muscled figure, Boris gentle touch and worshipping green eyes betrayed the softness within. As he dabbed her porcelain skin with the finest silk, he could not help but admire her stunning, effortless beauty. His only wish was to ease her pain. She was indeed perfect. Suddenly, he heard her breath out softly as she faked regaining consciousness. "Miss Dale, are you awake?" Fluttering her eyes open, she put on a pitiful look and pretended to be weak. She begged, "Water, please give me water" "I will." In the most gentle actions he fed her water. Trixson took three sips before bopping her head to signal denial. If she talked less, Boris would believe her act. "Those reporters are so heartless! They kept up pestering you didn't they noticed your pale face. Who told the
Chapter 8; You don't deserve me! "We are here, ma'am," Jerry reminded Elsie, who seemed lost for a moment. She shook her head at his words and made a weird sound. The truth was, Elsie was no longer present in the car but rather in the past. For she remembered the first time she visited this place. Her heart sunk. Flashback ___ Four years ago That day, crimson and rose blossoms dotted the eastern edge, bursting forth like branches heavy with ripe cherries. In her bedroom, Elsie sang nursery rhymes as she bathed her little boy. A joyful smile sprang to her lips at his every smile. "You are so good looking, my son. You took all your features from your dad while I did all the work," she pretended to be upset, pouting as she poured warm water on his body to rinse him. By her side stood an elderly lady in what appeared to be a school uniform but was not. Wrinkles aged her, and a smile spread on her thin lips, it was Cavia "Not true, ma'am. Young maste
Chapter 9; I am his wife As they stepped out of the car, Elsie was a little hesitant. Everything she said and did during that time was all under Trickson's influence. Elsie felt wronged. Nevertheless, she was going to teach those two a great lesson they would never forget. Thinking about this brought a smile to her saddened face. As they passed through security, she realized how much things had changed. There was now a fountain at the center and beautiful trees planted around. Everything looked unfamiliar and strange. The company had grown to many heights after her last visit; it now spoke of so much wealth and hard work. One thing did not change though—the security was so tight that one could not sneak out even a needle. However, at one glance, she was recognized by one of the security guards and was sent in. Elsie was left in awe as she strolled in; it was incredibly busy. She had never seen people work at that speed, hence she hurried up her steps and tried
Chapter 10: I refuse to be bullied "What do you think you are doing?!!" A cold voice rang from behind. Seeing the man stroll over in such powerful strides, Sophia straightened out her clothing and put on a professional look. She became calm, "President, the lady is quite difficult. She only insists on seeing you. I told her you were in a meeting, but she later started to harass me, so I was only trying to defend myself." "Why are you allowing such people to bully you?" Assuming Aiden was talking to her, Sophia couldn't help but blush. She lowered her head and apologized, "President, I am sorry. I will refuse to be bullied next time. She even said she was your wife?" However, Elsie's next actions were like bullets raining at her heart and dreams. "Hubby!" Elsie dashed toward Aiden, stealing a short kiss from him. His pupils widened at her actions, making his suspicions rise; hence, he did not kiss her back. Even so, his possessiveness got over him, and he wrappe
Chapter 11; Why didn't you tell me in my past life? ### In the office, Elsie sat on the green couch with Aiden sitting on the glass table facing her. His expression was indecipherable and his lips thin. Elsie could not help but admire his well-chiseled jawline and beautiful grey eyes. There was something about his neatly combed golden brown hair and his level of neatness that was beyond her understanding. There was a single thing out of place. He was truly perfect. Too perfect for her. "Ouch!" Elsie hissed sharply as he cleaned the wound with normal saline. Not because it hurt, but rather to get his attention. As expected, his grey eyes found hers and they softened. He reduced his strength, wiping it with a dry swap, "You should have thought of the pain before letting that girl bully you." Pouting her lips, Elsie tried to pull her hand away but he stopped her. She feigned anger, "You aren't romantic at all. Other men have suggested kissing my wounds to make th
Chapter 12: I am not satisfied yet Joseph Lawrence was efficient. He planned the entire schedule perfectly, with each board meeting leading to another with little breaks in between. Everyone found it exhausting, and they all secretly cursed the woman behind this change. Meanwhile, Aiden Scott sat wearing a cold expression on his face, listening attentively to what was said and even adding suggestions. He seemed to be in a better mood than before. The temperature in the room was now favorable for them to breathe. Could her presence be the reason for his change? Joseph shook his head sadly; the president had a witness, and it was that flirtatious and shameless woman. In his inward rant, he blurted out, "The president has bad taste!" "What did you say?" Aiden questioned icily. "Nothing. I meant this presentation... it is not up to your taste. Your usual taste is one of a kind," he mumbled, scratching his jaw. The look on Aiden's face was too frightful;

Author's AppreciationI started writing this earlier without this novel being finished, because I wanted to say something from the heart and not rushed. That doesn't mean my other appreciations are not from the heart. They are!You see, I have never been good with words and not always known how to respond to messages, emails, and so on. I am a freaking walking disaster, a one-woman circus clown kind of show, but I say this with much confidence: when I read a book and I laugh hard, feel hate, dislike, and cringe at moments which genuinely become a part of me, even if just for a time - it fills in my heart. I am overwhelmed by such talent to aid me grapple with my own emotions and go over every scene. Feeling satisfied and still wishing for more. Looking at you, Ashley Peston, you perfect angelic wordsmith. And I want that to be the same feeling my readers get from
Epilogue Elsie's POV Six months later. I got a call from the prison, concerning Trixson's plea to have me visit her. I should have said no. However, I needed to hear what she wanted to say. Trixson had been sentenced with a double life sentence for the murders she had been involved in. Boris had been given ten years for being an accomplice in Henry's homicide. Trixson had Boris sneak into the rehab disguised as an operating nurse and provided him the drugs Henry overdosed on. After this, Boris' conscience could not bear the burden of the secret. Hence, he came to me. He had to, after I provided him photos of Trixson and Director Lee's affair. All that helped take off the rose-colored glasses he wore aroun
Chapter 137: I have you Aiden stepped out of the prison gate, blinking in the bright sunlight. He had dreamed of this moment for what felt like an eternity, and yet, it still felt surreal. He was finally free. As he looked around, his eyes scanned the crowded streets, searching for a familiar face. And then, he saw her. Elsie stood out from the crowd, her flaming red hair shining like a flame. She wore a bright smile, and her eyes sparkled with tears, as she waved at him. Aiden's heart skipped a beat as he made his way towards her. Elsie still looked as beautiful as she did the first time he saw her at the Scott mansion. She wore a knee-length red dress that clung to her skin, exposing her heavy curves. As a result of the pregnancy, Elsie had gained weight, and her chest and ass had grown bigger too. She was
Chapter 136: Prison Life Aiden's POV The courtroom had been filled with a sense of tension and anticipation. The judge, a middle-aged woman with a stern expression, sat at the bench. I stood before her, my eyes fixed on Elsie, who had been crying non-stop. The prosecutor stood opposite me, arms crossed. The judge announced, "After careful consideration of the evidence and the severity of the crime, I hereby sentence you to 7 years in prison for withholding information and obstruction of justice in relation to the double homicide case." My eyes had widened for a brief moment, but I accepted the sentence with a nod. I knew I deserved this punishment for my actions. The judge continued, "While I acknowledge your cooperation with the authorities and your expression o
Chapter 135; Promise me Two months later. On the day of Aiden's trial, after he had refused to file for bail, Elsie kept Eldon entertained by playing Legos when Aunt Rina walked in. The little lad ran to hug Rina, and she kissed him on the cheek. "Aunt Rina, where have you been? I've missed you," he exclaimed, his dimples creeping up as he smiled. Leaning in, she explained in a sweet voice, "I was busy, boy. But I'm back now..." Elsie, leaning against the counter in the kitchen, found their encounter very cute. She sometimes envied Eldon's relationship with Rina. A huge grin curled up on Eldon's lips, and he raised his arms, shouting out of ecstasy, "Yay, we'll all play together!" "We will," Rina confirmed, nodding her head. She reached out to touch the boy's cheek and pinched it fondly. "You should go to your room and wait for me there while I talk to your mom." The kid threw his arms up in happiness, spread them wide like wings, and ran out, making plane
