Esther strutted into the makeup room with the full arrogance of an A-list celebrity. Her gaze swept over everyone present. As soon as she saw Savannah, shock was painted all over her face. Immediately after, the surprise quickly morphed into anger.

"Savannah Lexington, why are you here?"

The makeup artist started to explain, "Ms. Lexington is—"

With her chin in the air, Esther cut her off with a cold, commanding voice. "Savannah, you need to learn to admit defeat. Just accept the fact that you're not good enough for the role. It really won't do you any good causing trouble here!"

Everyone in the room had already greeted Savannah and had come to learn that she had been cast as the second lead actress. As a result, Esther's outburst now seemed a little ridiculous.

The atmosphere grew intensely awkward. The makeup artist bit the bullet and spoke hesitantly, "Ms. Stone, I think there's been a misunderstanding. Ms. Lexington is playing Yvette Young, the second female lead."
